chapter one

Femi woke up on a Sunday morning. he had prepared for school that day after he passed his common entrance examination. he had made up his mind that he was going to command secondary school. Suddenly his father came into the room, good morning dad Femi said”. Are you ready for school son? “ yes dad I just finished packing let’s go dad. Femi and his dad head out on a two hour journey. when they finally got there, Mr Bamidele [ Femi’s dad] spotted miss Adoga “good morning miss adoga” “oh how are you sir this must be Femi adoga said” yes, I am Femi said miss adoga helped Femi to his hostel and said “ this is your hostel make sure you make friends fast “ok ma” Femi could not wait to go to school, so he hurried to bed and slept. the next morning he brushed his teeth and took his bath then he went to his corner took his milo and tin milk to make tea meanwhile a senior who stayed in a corner beside his corner needed milo so he said “hey you make this white cup brown. Femi did not understand, but an older junior student asked if Femi had milo and he said yes and gave the senior. Femi was happy to share but he did not know he was bullied. Femi asked “what is your name” and the boy said I’m Toni, I am in jss1A what is your name “ I am Femi I am in jss1 but I don’t know which alphabet because I came yesterday”  don’t worry I will show you your class and everywhere else if you follow me Toni said, ok I will so are we friends now Femi asked Toni said yes . Femi was so happy in his inner most mind but did not want to show his excitement so he just said ok , let go to the dining hall Toni said. When they got there the dining hall was so dirty that Femi was not comfortable Toni tried to convince him to sit down but Femi was not convinced, after a lot of conversation Femi later sat down, they were having bread and tea Femi was looking forward to the meal because he was used to bread and tea he remembered how his mom would make him that meal, a tear rolled down his eyes Toni asked him “what wrong why are you crying” Femi replied  “nothing is wrong I just had some memories, did you bring your cup Toni asked Femi said yes I did he pulled out his cup and stretched his cup forward and the lunch lady poured a small amount of a transparent liquid Femi and Toni went to their sit and Femi said “ what is in my cup” then Toni said it’s the tea, then why is the tea so transparent Femi asked then Toni said just drink it because dining will soon be over Femi was disgusted by the tea so he did not drink it he rather poured it away.
