Act 2: Death in Every Corner

"Life is like a waterfall, you drink from the water and you think you have it all. Life is just a game and you always want to play but you never want to lose. Always want to go but you never want to stay.....

.....I have found Death....."

As I lay dying and all senses fail I was carried by this bright light into a mysterious dimension.

I was shocked that all my wounds are slowly being healed my body was being regenerated by this unknown apparition as we head draw near to our destination I could hardly think that maybe I’m already dead and the light that was carrying me might be an angel of some sort.

I was hardly mistaken.

I was brought to a dark shallow place wherein I saw two gigantic balls of light which took forms of two mighty creatures. The apparition spoke and said that this is were the creation of life begins the apparition gave me information about the two marvelous creatures the lady was Gaea also known as mother earth, and the other one was Uranus which is the sky god. Uranus is the son of Gaea, which in later time became his husband.

My mind was still too blurry about the things that are happening around me, my eyes are seeing it but my mind refuses to believe it.

I was still unto believing that I’m on a twisted dream and anytime I would wake up but realizing I was already lying dead when I was carried away by this mysterious light so maybe I’ve really left the mortal world.

What I’m witnessing right now is very spectacular, as two magnificent creatures create soil from dust that come out from their lungs grow plants in one wink of an eye.

It was truly amazing but it was still too good to be true. There were more tales that the apparition told me as it said, Gaea was born from love, love then later became the light and day.

At first the world was only consists of chaos and endless darkness which was created by a place called Erebus that came out from the void of chaos a place where death dwells.

Meanwhile, as the apparition continues her tale I saw another glowing light coming from a distance it was so majestic I went close to it. The apparition told me that the light was named Ether the offspring of the Erebus and night also a majestic so called god in the realm I’m in.

Ether was called the heavenly light to earthly day, on the other side night also produced doom, fate , death, sleep, nemesis and others to man out of darkness. As time passes in this mysterious realm I have witnessed these horrifying creatures coming out from Gaea.

These creatures are big as giants with only one eye attached to their foreheads. The apparition told me that these were the off springs of Gaea and Uranus they are called the three Cyclopes and the Hecatoncheires which are monsters with a hundred limbs and hundred arms.

I could see the hatred on the face of Uranus for he wants to neglect the creatures that his wife bore. After that, I saw the most inhumane thing when Uranus imprisoned his off springs into Gaea’s womb.

After that, came twelve more children who were called the titans.

They were called the first hierarchy of rulers on this new built world as the apparition told me. As I remembered, these children have there own domains or obligations on this new built realm, these were Cronus, Rhea, Oceanus, Tethys, Hyperion, Mnemosyne, Themis, Iapetus, Coeus, Crius, Atlas, and Thea.

As I my story goes further I noticed the anger on Gaea’s face for the exile of her monstrous children the Cyclopes and the Hecatoncheires. Uranus was a bad father for banishing their children.

Evening came but I never felt any drowsiness and as I learned from the apparition Gaea and Cronus was planning a devious plot to overthrow Uranus in return for what he did to her children.

Gaea created a sickle made out of stone and as the night became darker I saw rebellion begins. Cronus grabbed his father and castrated him, with the stone sickle throwing the severed genitals into the ocean.

The fate of Uranus was not clear, he either died or withdrew himself from earth. More unbelievable things happen after the rebellion, from his spilt blood came the Giants, the Ash tree nymphs and the Erinnyes.

From the sea foam where his genitals fell came a maiden so beautiful and enticing,she is called Aphrodite who turned out to be the goddess of love and beauty.

As Uranus departed from his exile, I heard these cursed words of punishment against his family that overthrew him.
