Meeting You ( A Grant Landis Fanfiction)

Chapter 3

Its been a few days since I posted my cover. It now had over 3.7 million views. Jacob decided to take me out for some ice cream to celebrate. On our way to the ice cream shop, Jacob turned off the radio and looked at me concerned.

 

“Caleigh?” Jacob asked. I kinda got a little worried, because I’ve never seen Jacob so concerned.

 

“Yeah?” I replied hoping it wouldn’t be too serious.

“So.. What’s with you and Grant “flirting” on twitter?” He said with a smirk.

“OH MY GOD JACOB YOU HAD ME WORRIED!!!” I yelled playfully hitting his arm. We both started laughing.

“No.. But seriously.. What is up with it?” Jacob asked in all “seriousness”. I wanna reply with it was just a joke, but I don’t know it, Grant is a pretty cool guy..

 

“We were just joking...It’s not like I’m going to marry him.” I started laughing and so did Jacob. We finally arrived at the Ice Cream Shop. I got Oreo Ice cream in a waffle cone and so did Jacob. We sat there and started eating it.. A few minutes later a person walked up to us.

 

It was Grant. I was completely shocked and I stood there frozen. Trust me it wasn’t because of the ice cream.

 

“Hey man!” Jacob said, getting up and giving Grant a “bro hug.” “What are you doing in town??” Jacob asked curiously.

“I was coming in to surprise you! It looks like my plan happened earlier than expected.” Grant laughed. I saw him look at me, I was still frozen. Don’t get me wrong, he was a lot cuter in person. His hair was perfectly quiffed and his eyes were a lot more blue then you would think.

 

“Caleigh?” I heard Jacob ask for me. I blinked my eyes a few times and shook my head quickly.

“Huh?” I looked at Jacob.

“Caleigh this is Grant, Grant this is Caleigh.”  Jacob said as he introduced us.

“Oh yeah.. Hi Im Caleigh..But you already know that because Jacob just said it.” I looked down toward the floor embarrassed.

Grant laughed. “Well.. I’m Grant and you knew that as well, I’m guessing.”

I looked up at him to see him looking at me in a genuine way. I felt a wave of relief.

“Well, Uhmm.” I heard Jacob speaking so I looked his way. “We should go back to the house, so uhmm yeah lets go.” Jacob said heading towards the door. Grant just came along since he would be staying with us. While walking out Grant and Jacob were ahead of me chatting.

“Do you want to sit up front or do you want me to?” I heard Grant ask.

“I will sit in the back.. You can sit up front with Jacob.” I replied.

“Okay cool.” I watched him open the front and get in the passenger side, while I moved my way into the back. The rest of the car ride home, I would casually look up into the mirror, I would spot Grant already looking back at me, then he would quickly look away. I think he could tell I was nervous. I was honestly regretting how awkward acted, this wasn’t the way I wanted to meet him.
