The Dudettes

Gumby and red were heading north to the store to pick up food for home.

The town they were in was a far walk so they thought they should enjoy it. They were low on food recently because mother mushroom got sick so money was low.

They take their time to shop around and having a blast while avoiding spending any money. After they finally make it to the store the shop keeper was locking the doors.

Gumby being shy and polite said, "Sir, please we need to buy some food."

Red being the strong and blunt one pulls out cash from her bag, " we have money to pay"

The shop pepper puts his key in his pocket, "sorry ladies there is a raid south of us, I'm afraid I'm closing down for good"

"South but that's where we live"

Red and Gumby look at each other. Gumby by looking scared and Red looking brave.

Red grabbing Gumbys hand, "let's go!"

The two girls, one being dragged by the other, rush to their hometown now in ruins for a fire. The smoke around them made it hard to breathe and their eyes stinging.

Gumby pulls back, "I can't go on"

"We have to, Gumby, moms cant move. She's right now at home unable to move. We can't leave her"

Gumby takes a deep breath, "ok let's go"

The two sisters reach there home. Their where their home was burning violently.

Red not even hesitating to look back at her horrified sister runs in.

"Red. No!"

Gumby looks stressfully around for help and decides to runs after. She runs in to see her sister fallen on her knees coughing in tears.

"Their gone, mom and mushy."

Gumby coughing hugs red, "We need to hold back those emotions and leave."

They look to each other with red full of tears and gumby being the brave one only with one tear rolling down her face.

Red grabs gumby hands, "ok."

They pull each other out of the building falling to the ground coughing as they leave the building.

They soon hear truck sirens come from a distance.

"We should run!" Said red reaching for Gumby.

"Why?"

"They'll find a way to separate us and lock us up. We only have each other."

Gumby starts running with her sister through a smokey alleyway.

They soon find themselves in a town that looks unfamiliar.

"Red... I... Need to rest a bit"

Red was going to insist to move forward but her desperate sister changed her mind.

She sits me the ground next to her sister, "Just for a little while".

Gumby lays her head on her sister's shoulder, "Red I'm scared. I mean we lost it all."

Red brushes Gumby's hair and lays her head on her sister's head, "You know we didn't loose each other and as long as we're together well fight forever."
