Margo Anne Hall is an 18-year-old American teenager growing up in a working-class neighborhood. Margo is not much of the religious type despite growing up Christian mainly because life has not been particularly kind to her. Her father, who made his own luck, was imprisoned when she was very young, leaving her with her mother, who was an addict. Eventually, Margo had to drop out of school to get a job to support herself leaving her to scrape for crumbs to support her and her mother. She wants a better life but has come to terms that it is just not in the cards for her, not this lifetime anyway.

Cassandra lifts a friend up in a time of desperate need but will Ciara accept the power that she has to kill the demons that she's destined to kill?

Two ladies named Red and Gumby Loses their home, Mother and their sister while out to get groceries. They have to grow together to stop the thugs who burned their town.

This story is about sisterhood and how those close to you can save your life physically, emotionally, etc.

A woman exits a parking garage to her car and is accosted by a group of thugs. An odd woman comes through the same corridor, sees what is going on, and immediately tells the boys to leave. They don't and decide she is the next victim. She might be small and chubby, but she has a few tricks up her sleeve. The woman is aghast and thankful at her help and questions her self for not doing the same. The woman tells her a truth that will change her life forever.
