winter and katie hopped down the ladder to reveal the circus of people underground. some rubbish rock band was playing and red and white strobe lights. winter saw a few people from her college dancing and drinking. a few doing drugs.
winter headed straight for the bar. she thought with this music she'll at least need a drink or two to like it. she looked over at the stage and saw a familiar face, luke.
he had a guitar and was singing lead vocals. luke had obviously seen winter too cause he was giving her the same stare he gave her this morning at college. he was singing some song about "good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught." winter found it somewhat amusing since it was right up her alley.
"thank you, um we're gonna take a short break and we'll be back."
luke announced to the crowd. the dj finally started playing music winter liked in the club. electronic dance music. she was quietly enjoying her birthday cake flavored vodka when the annoying tall boy walked over to her and katie.
"well well, if it isn't my favorite season."
"i'm katie!"
"oh well, nice to meet you."
winter grabbed his arm without saying a word and dragged him to the dance floor. she could hear katie's muffled yells in the background.
"should i come too?"
"winter!! we're supposed to be here together!"
winter made herself a spot in the middle and pushed luke behind her. she swayed her hips onto his and put her hands through her hair. girls have her dirty looks and boys drooled over her.
winter looked to the side and saw three boys from college. she knew what they were known for. fred was tall and had long black hair. he was a skateboarding stoner. jonah was average height with curly brown hair. he was known to be a geek. and last was james, he was average height and known for always being a wanker. james said something to fred and jonah and strutted over to the dancing winter and luke.
"hey man, mind if i ya know, cut in?"
he tried to push away luke but luke like a magnet somehow got back to winter.
"no thanks dude. go find someone else."
"but i'd like winter, so if you wouldn't mind."
james tried to push luke again but luke turned and sucker punched him knocking him to the ground. some girl screamed alerting the security guards. before they arrived james jumped up and tried to hit luke but he ducked and punched him in the stomach.
the guards came over and took luke out and winter followed
