Five minutes left before the first match up starts, Kagura and Lolita still haven't spotted their core. There's a rule in Legend academy where the match should go on regardless of the number of team members present. Perhaps, they were just unlucky to be teamed up with such an irresponsible guy. The rest of their teammates have arrived. The fighter role, Chou, and the Marksman, Layla.
Chou stylishly dashed beside lolita and Kagura and then did a respectful bow. "Pleasure to meet you ladies! Let's all work together and win all the way to the finals!"
"UGH" Layla scoffed. "Just don't stand in my way, you guys will just end up HOLDING ME BACK!" She rolled her eyes as she flipped her hair. "I don't care if we don't have a core. You, shorty." She pointed at Lolita who was already irritated. "Just focus on being my shield, these other two don't matter."
Kagura just sweat dropped and faked a laugh. 'I think I'm going to lose on my first match.' She thought to herself.
The other teams started entering their own lobbies. The teams were randomly chosen by the faculty, filling up all the necessary roles to avoid unfair matchmaking.
All of a sudden, the Legend Academy music theme played all around the campus through the speakers scattered around the school. The event is starting soon.
"THE FIRST TWO TEAMS TO ENTER THE BATTLEFIELD IS TEAM C AND TEAM F. PLEASE PROCEED TO THE BACKSTAGE OF YOUR CORRESPONDING SIDES." The female announcer through the speakers said.
Lolita and her team of four entered their lobby. It was a room with five chairs around a table, some snacks, drinks, and a huge flat screen TV where they can watch the current match live.
They each sat on their chair, Kagura nervously fidgeting as it is her first time joining an event like this. Chou was meditating, Lolita was visibly irritated with Layla who was busy taking selfies to post on her insta. She is known as a spoiled brat in the whole school after all.
"It's starting!" Lolita said, pointing at the TV. There they saw the teams that will fight off in the first match. The crowd around the battlefield was cheering loudly, as they couldn't contain their excitement.
Team C consists of some powerful students. Their fighter, a dreadful beast when it comes to clashing, a monster at smashing his enemies into smithereens, Terizla. Their tank, as tough as a rock. His impenetrable defense and strength that can not be crushed is a threat to anyone who goes against him, Gatotkaca. Their marksman, who many fears when late game comes. Someone who can take your life in a split second, Miya. Their mage who controls the element of fire, Valir. And lastly their core, a truly formidable opponent to anyone possessing great agility, speed, and power, Ling. The team walked to the fountain, waiting for the start signal.
"W-Wow.. these guys look so strong." Lolita commented.
"Well, of course. They are known as meta. In other words, their abilities are ideal to have in fighting context." Chou said while still meditating.
Kagura watched carefully so that she knows what to do when it's her turn. Her heart was throbbing in excitement and nervousness.
The second team, team F was later revealed. With a glance, the people knew it was gonna be a good match up. Their tank is non-other than the undisputed, ideal crowd setter, Tigreal. Their marksman was the deadly music enthusiast, Granger. Their mage was the powerful death rain summoner, Pharsa. But the students the crowd was excited about was these two, the fighter, Aldous and the core, Lancelot.
"This match up is going to be LIT!" Lolita exclaimed.
The countdown on the big screens started, Ten seconds before the long awaited match.
