The Caper had started smoothly enough. She had called a Taxi for Gray and had him arrive at the electrical substation, waiting at the supposed "backstage" entrance.

"Graham. Ready to rock?" She'd smiled, motioning to the door.

"Anything for the kiddos." He'd replied, holding her gaze for one intense second.

Player would talk to Gray through the basics of the "show" and give him instructions. He would pretend to be the stage manager, a New Zealander named Peter.

"Good. Curtain's at 8, and.....I'm needed in wardrobe."

And then the illusion had begun.

She'd dressed in her iconic red coat and fedora, humming to the beat of Swan Lake playing in her ears. Gray would be operating thinking he was doing it for that show, of course. If she didn't time this right, everything would be a mess.

Nodding to the sound, she waited until Gray deactivated the door and the camera, slipping in. She'd made it to the laser faders, a bead of sweat forming above her brow.

Carmen timed the music, her heart rate picking up as the first panel began to slide down. Just as it lowered, Carmen leaped over, barely missing as it came back up.

But that was not the end, for she had to repeat the process twelve times.

Taking a deep breath, Carmen steadied herself for what was to come, annoyingly aware of the possibility of being fried.

So when she leaped across the final panel, she could not help but gulp a breath of relief.

But her work was not done. Taking out guards along the way, Carmen slipped into the facility and made her way to the server room. Finding the supercomputer, she inserted the USB player provided and began to retrieve the plans for TripWire.
