Life Is So Cruel

Momo's POV

I woke up feeling confused and hell, my body body is aching everywhere. All I can hear is beeping. I tried opening my eyes but it's not working.

I struggled but was finally able to open my eyes but welcomed by a person's sleeping head on the side of my bed, white walls and a monitor that is creating the annoying beeping sounds. Is this a hospital? Why am I here?

Suddenly the girl sleeping woke up and was mumbling something while crying. Who is she again? I can't remember my head is aching. I think she is my friend, my bestfriend. She is Mina! Ah yes! Myoui Mina! But why is she crying?

"Momo--" I can now hear my bestfriend but I'm still confused.

"Shhh Mina why are you crying? What happened to me? Why am I in the hospital? Where's Ayaka? My mom and dad?

"Momo you were in a car accident and- and-". A memory suddenly flashed before my eyes.

"Mom and dad I saw them! Their bodies were limped! A car crash! Ayaka, she was hugging me! She took all the impacts for me! Where are they Mina? I started to be hysterical and tried moving until the nurses came and injected something. I then drifted off to sleep again.

I can see them, my parents. Their bodies crushed underneath the other car. Ayaka, she took all the impacts, she was hugging me tightly.

"M-mo-m-o, I-I l-love y-y-ou". Ayaka struggled to say those words I can see tears in her eyes but she was still smiling at me.

"No no no baby no! Don't leave me please, I love you". But she just closed her eyes. My body is so exhausted I felt heartbroken. Why did this happen to me?. I tried calling her but she is unresponsive. Ayaka is no longer breathing.

"Ayaka, Ayakaaa!!

I woke up and started crying. I can now remember what happened. My mom, my dad and Ayaka I know they are dead. It's impossible for them to live due to the impact.

Mina suddenly entered the room she just hugged me no words came out from her mouth and both of us started crying.

Mina's POV

I can't stand seeing my bestfriend like this. I went outside and talked to the doctor. Fortunately, she does not have any broken bone just bruises. Ayaka covered Momo's body and took all the injuries herself. She must love Momo so much. I feel bad about my bestfriend, she does not deserve this. My thoughts were interrupted as I can hear Momo shouting so I immediately ran into her hospital room.

I just hugged her, no words came out from my mouth. I know she knows that her parents and girlfriend did not make it.

"Mina, I hate my life. Why did this happen to me? I lost the people I love at the same time. How can I go on with my life? I don't want to continue living" said Momo.

I hugged my bestfriend tighter. "Momo, I'm still here. We will make it together. I will stay by your side. You can make it" Momo is still crying I can feel frustration and sorrows in her.

"Why does life have to be so cruel to me, Mina? I was a good person" Momo said as she stopped crying.

I know this is not going to be the same Momo but I promise to myself I will protect and understand my bestfriend. I will never leave her side.
