Chapter 12

{Dave's P.O.V}

Alex stopped in mid sentence when she realised who it was. I could tell she was nervous, but why?

"Wow so you felt that you needed to change your look just for him?!" He said sarcasm dripping from every word he said

"No" she simply stated

"Sure, and who's shirt is that?"

"Dave's"

"Wow! You tell me you still have feelings for me and then you go out and sleep with him?!" He screamed

"What?!" I screamed

"Oh she didn't tell you?! Figures, well the other day she came over and told me she was sorry and then that she missed "us" and then she told me she was going out with you so I told her to leave and then now this." He stated

"Dave, I wasn't going to do anything! He kissed me, but I pulled away cos' I didn't want to cheat on you! I remembered what it's like to be cheated on and I didn't want you to go thru that!" She said with tears streaming down her face

"Are you freaking serious?! I told you Amy was making me do this!" Tom yelled

"Dave please...you know I wouldn't hurt you! Please believe me!" She cried

I didn't realise I was crying till she whispered "Don't cry"

"I gotta go..." I whispered

"Dave please..." She begged

"I'll see you at home." I sighed

"Wait, I'll just clock out and we can both leave."

"What about me?" Tom asked

"Sorry sir the store is closed!" She replied sarcastically

"Whatever!" He shouted

After she clocked out we walked home in silence. I honestly can't believe she did that! I really like her, but she doesn't like me does she? When we got to her house I gave her a kiss on the cheek goodnight and left. My house was across the street so it wasn't that far. When I got home I just cried, I cried myself to sleep.

~Next Morning~

The next morning I woke up, and didn't bother to go anywhere so I just stayed home. I stayed in bed and cried. I didn't know I could cry so much, my phone kept going off but I didn't bother to answer it. I was in bed when my door started to open. I was just about to get up when my brother James walked in. That's when I remembered he was coming to stay for a while cos' of the movie he was filming.

"Hey lil bro! Wait what's wrong why are you crying?"

"What? I'm not crying!" I lied

"Really Dave?! Then why are your eyes red?"

"Pool party?...uh the uh chlorine... yeah! The chlorine."

"Wow Dave you've gotten good at your acting."

"What happened?"

"Well I went to go visit my girlfriend Alex at work, and like um her ex showed up and he said she went to his house and she told him that she missed their relationship and the worst part is she didn't deny it! Then he said that the only reason he cheated on her was because Amy was forcing him to. I really like her! The sad part is that I doubt she likes me back!"

"Well lil bro I don't think you should ignore her calls and messages. You need to talk to her!" He said while showing me my phone which had 199 messages all from Alex

"Not today." I sighed

"Fine"

I was sitting around when James walked in and said I had a visitor. I just stayed in bed and Alex walked in.

"Thank God you're ok! I was worried about you!" She said

"Yeah I'm fine." I said my voice a little hoarse

"Dave I'm so sorry! I'm sorry for all the tears you've cried, sorry for all the pain I've caused, I'm sorry for everything!" She whispered the last part

"It's ok"

"I understand if you hate me, I was stupid."

"I don't hate you." I whispered

"Cool"

"Yeah..."

"So, wanna hang out?"

"No" It came out a little harsher than I expected

"Um ok" she sighed before walking out

"See you at school" I shouted

"Yeah, uh bye"

{Alex's P.O.V}

I walked out of Dave's house and to town. I walked in to the liquor store and bought a six pack of green apple Smirnoff's and opened up a bottle and drank one on my way back home. I was drinking my third bottle when someone snatched the bottle.

"Pretty girls like you shouldn't be drinking" he said

"Well there you go, I'm not pretty I'm ugly." I replied

"You are not ugly!"

"Aww thanks but I have a boyfriend...I think?"

"I have a math test"

"Huh?" I asked confused

"Oh I thought we were naming things we could cheat on"

"In your dreams" I said while walking away

"Hey wait up" he shouted

"No leave me alone!"

He ran after me and I just ran towards my house and then stopped at Dave's house I started banging on the door screaming "DAVE PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR!" I was just about to scream again when he grabbed me from behind and dragged me away "HELP!!!!" I was gonna scream again when he punched me in the jaw. I cried out in pain when someone saved me. Everything was going black I could here everything that was going on and then I heard a familiar voice.
