Klaus adjusted his glasses as he saw Olivander slip behind a tall shelf of wands, and followed closely behind.

"I'm thinking Unicorn hair. You agree?", He said in a cocky voice.

"I don't know. But I'd love to learn the difference! I've read many books, but none on the wizarding world.", Klaus responded as he reached out for the wand mr Olivander held in his hand.

"...try it"

With a wave, mocking his sister. Suddenly, the closet door swung open! "OH NO....", Mr Olivander said with widen eyes. "the monster books of monsters are in there.... Be quiet..." as Mr. Olivander slowly crept to the open door, Klaus saw a wand, open from the packaging next to him. Klaus crept a few steps to reach it, then suddenly tripping on a loose floor board, catching himself on the counter. "Klaus! Duck!"

Klaus scooted under the desk as he heard a lot of things rustling in the closet. He held the wand in front of him cautiously with both hands. As soon a a savage book peeked out from the wall, Klaus flicked the wand forward, slamming the door shut.

"Klaus.. let me see that...", Mr. Olivander said as Klaus handed him the wand, getting up from under the desk. "This is my wand. Dragon heartstrings core.. and hornbeam wood for accents."

"Well, do you have anymore?", Klaus asked.

"Not really, The wood is a shipment I get, so I don't get it often...", He said, looking down at his wand. Looking up at Klaus he said, "Here. Like I always say, the wand chooses the wizard. I can always find another wand, I have all season!" He laughs as he boxes it up.

"But it's special to you, right?", Klaus said as he looked at the box.

  "Yea.. very."

"...my parents...", Klaus pushed his glasses up farther on the bridge of his nose. "They died in a fire. Destroying everything inside and outside of it. I remember finding a spyglass in the remains... half of it broke. Everyone I knew had one. Uncle Monty, Aunt Josephine, Mr. Poe's assistant, Jacques Snicket, Larry, Kit Snicket... Dewey.", Klaus stopped as a tear rolled down his cheek. "Isadora."

"Who are all those people?", Olivander asked, holding Klaus's shoulder.

"Many of them are dead. Members of VFD. The only people who aren't dead are Poe's assistant, and the Quagmires." Klaus looked down as he pulled the spyglass from his pocket. "I always keep it with me, as a remembrance of my parents, our friends the quagmires, and the connection between everyone involved in VFD, Nobel and wicked, dead and alive.."

"Oh wow.", Mr. Olivander said, observing the spyglass from his seat. "And I thought the Potter's deaths were depressing! I... I am so sorry for you guys. You must've gone through a lot to get where you are now. Well, where you were before you came here. Something about a portal?"

"Yes.", Klaus said, putting the spyglass back into his pocket. "I don't know how it happened!"

"I bet Dumbledoor will help you though. But... I still want to give you my wand. It was my first wand, and for someone who has gone through that much, I give you this wand, for the time you will be here.", Olivander said with a smile.

Klaus smiled as he and Mr. Olivander walked back to Hagrid and his sisters. Olivander handed Sunny a small wand," Here's a toy one for you.", He said as he winked.

"Where to next?", Violet asked Hagrid as they waved goodbye to Mr. Olivander, after paying him for the wands.

"We need to get yer' robes, cauldrons, um...", Hagrid said as he studied the list. "And pets."

The three Baudelaires went choose three identical black robes, Caudlrons, and many other items before the went to their second to last stop, Eyelop's Owl Emporium.
