Lisa's POV

It was the day of the Homecoming Ball, and it was now only hours away. You currently were stuffing your mouth with sweets, as you walked down the corridors of the castle. You were making your way back to your room from the kitchens, quietly, with no sound but the hinges of your jaw moving as they chewed your food. You tended to fill your stomach when you were nervous, and it was evident that the event tonight was one of these scenarios.  In all honesty, it wasn't the event so much as Jungkook returning home. Even though you were best friends with him for the longest time, you couldn't help but wonder what he thought of you now .

As you approached a junction which split in four ways, you heard footsteps, making you walk faster down the halls.  The muttered sound of heavy feet shuffling in your direction worried you that you were being followed.  They came closer, and closer down the corridor , making you unsure of what to do. However, your tenacious attitude made you think quick on your feet, not daring to be caught by this unknown and suspicious behaviour. You darted to the nearby broom closet, hiding and silently praying it was just your overactive imagination. As the noise came to an abrupt stop, you assumed they were directly outside of  this door.  You tentatively peeked through the crack of the door, but you couldn't see very well making you squint your eyes.  In defeat, in an attempt to see the face of the mystery stalker, you sighed heavily.  You backed up in anticipation of whatever may come, making you slip on something wet, which caused the things to fall from the shelves of the closet. The next thing you knew, the solid wood door was yanked open, possibly breaking it's hinges, and it sending you catapulting forward on top of your attacker. You closed your eyes in fear, awaiting to hit the floor. It wasn't twice as bad as you nearly thought though, but perhaps that was because the 'mystery someone' held a grip around your waist, they being the ones to take the worse of the  fall.

"I don't know who you are, or what you want but I swear I'm just a 20-year-old girl who is completely innocent." You said forcing your eyes to stay shut.

"It's me Lisa." A familiar voice laughed.

You opened your eyes, perhaps it was the shock of the fall but you were completely frozen. There was the boy you had been waiting to see for all these years, in front of you. His hair had gone a deeper shade of brown, with this curls shaping his face. Kook's jawline had gotten more prominent over the years, but what you got were his eyes.  His deep brown eyes, felt as if the eye were staring into your soul as you stared back into his with the same admiration. No doubt, he had turned into a very fine looking young man, and this concerned you. Kook was your bestfriend, and you weren't ever suppose to gain feelings, or think they were attractive. Nevertheless , you couldn't help everything that was bubbling up inside you.

"Kook." You said surprised "I thought I wouldn't see you till later tonight at the ball."

"Well I just got here and I wanted to say hello to my very best friend in existence." He said "But I would probably  rather to get out of the floor." You came to realization at the proximity between your faces, and awkwardly got up."

So how have you been this past couple of years?" You asked Kook as you helped him up out of the floor. The latter not being much taller than you.

"Alright, but how great can it be when both of my bestfriends are at home." He smiled and hugged you. You embracing the warmth radiating from his body, you could be there forever in your friend's arms. "How about you? "
