1st POV | (Y/N)I froze still, my legs had given out long ago and left me lying on the ground as I witnessed the world around me collapsing.
Everyone I ever knew—each neighbour, friend and stranger—were all mercilessly murdered in front of me.
Buildings were torn down by their reckless hands, rubble being thrown everywhere. Pieces were coming towards me. Towards me...
A titan was coming towards me, it's mouth hanging open and arms waving above it, successfully removing anything in its path.
A short sob was pulled from my throat as my lips quivered, struggling to get off my backside. It'd be idiotic to sit there and wait to get killed, at least not without trying—
The creature stops in its tracks for a moment, staring at me with its gross, bulging eyes.
My body cooperates, shoving myself up and getting as far away as possible. I don't know where I'm going, or where I'm supposed to go. As long as I survive.
Although I can't seem to hear footsteps behind me, causing me to glance behind me.
As I attempt to check, I trip over rubble that had probably fallen from a building. Smashing my head against the hard material caused me to fall unconscious.

1st POV | Levi
"Check for survivors, just in case." Erwin Smith directed to us. I clicked my tongue. The chance that there were any survivors was incredibly low, but I had to follow orders.
Hopping onto my horse, I slowly began down a road. I almost grimaced at the sight of blood splattered among the ground and stone of what used to be buildings, crushed rubble and wood splinters littering the ground.
Once I had reached the end of the road and had yet to discover anyone among the mess of the town, I headed back to Erwin.
After addressing that nothing had been seen by me, we had to wait for Hanji's arrival.
Although, once she did finally report back, she appeared to be holding something.
A tuft of (h/c) was peeking out, as a (s/t) arm was draped over the scientist's shoulder, "Commander! Commander, look. I found a kid, and they're still alive!"
"I can see that..." He responded, going into a deep thought for a moment, "We obviously can't leave them here, but for now we have nowhere else to take them. Someone will have to look after them at HQ."
"Seriously?" Hanji and I simultaneously said, although, one of us sounded more delighted than the other.
A quiet groan escaped the young kid, who I assumed to be around nine or ten years old, as they shifted around. Hanji began to panic, grasping the kid and holding them in front of her while Erwin attempted to calm her down.
"Calm down, shitty-glasses." I murmured, taking a step closer to her.
"W-Where am... Where am I?" They whispered, their eyes half lidded and obviously tired.
Trying to keep everything calm and under control, Hanji put the kid down onto the ground as Erwin explained, "You're still in (t/n). I'm Commander Erwin Smith of the Survey Corps, this is Hanji Zoë and Captain Levi Ackerman."
"What's your name?" Four-eyes said, albeit a little too ecstatically.
"Er, I'm (Y-Y/N). Ten years old." They obediently responded, holding up all their fingers.
A tiny smirk grew on my face, 'this kid is kinda cute'.
I stared back at Hanji and the three of us negotiated on who would take on the job of looking after the kid.
We barely knew anything about them yet, they could be a completely troublesome brat and we'd be stuck struggling to control them.
"Hanji can't take care of them, it's too dangerous with all those experiments and shit." I put out there, smirking at the glare the said scientist shot at me.
Erwin explained that, as commander of the Survey Corps, he wouldn't have the time to keep an eye on them, leaving the two of them to stare at me with a knowing look. I stared back at them.
"You'll have to be the one in charge of looking after (Y/N)." Erwin concluded without sparing me a moment to disagree.
All I could do was let out a quiet sigh as I told the kid to follow us back to the Headquarters.

1st POV | (Y/N)
I nervously glanced up at the monotone male in front of me, walking closely behind him while struggling to keep up with his brisk strides. I felt myself hunching over, hiding away from the stares and occasional whispers from others around us.
Eventually, he led me into an office, which I assumed was his, as he sat me down in a chair.
Picking up a teacup, he began sipping out of it. Since when did he have that again? Did... Did he just make that tea?
A sigh left his lips, "This is probably all confusing to you right now, but you'll be kept safe here for now."
"Don't wander off and do as you're told, unless you want to get in trouble or to get hurt." I nodded, partly understanding. I was still stuck on what happened– Why couldn't I just go back to my parents?
As I was stuck in my thoughts, I failed to comprehend that Levi was talking to me, until he pushed his chair out and walked out the room.
I flinched, before hurrying after him.
We walked down the hallways we came from, making a couple different turns and coming across large wooden doors. We entered and I glanced around, noticing large tables scattered around the room.
He, once again, sat me down, except there were four other people already at the table chatting amongst themselves.
Before I could stop him, Levi had already left my sight and disappeared into a crowd of people, forcing me to confront the others around me.
We sat in silence for a few minutes, causing my face to heat up as everyone continued to stare at me in confusion. Fortunately, a ginger-haired girl spoke up.
"What's your name, sweetie?" She had a kind, but soft voice, causing my face to heat up more.
I stuttered out my name, looking anywhere but their faces. A few 'awe's were passed around the table, before the Captain had finally come back.
He passed me a small tray that held a mini loaf of bread and a cup of water. I thanked him quietly and began munching on the bread, silently listening to their conversation.
