Bob and Linda got a divorse, after a small arguments built up and went to far. Linda then started dating Jimmy Pesto, Bob's worst enemy. Linda had moved in with Jimmy almost immediately and the kids have rooms in the apartments over each restaurant.
Andy and ollie were already Louise's best friends and she gets to see them everyday now. She sleeps un theor room with them There were only two beds so louise offered to start with a sleeping bag but Andy always drifted off to Ollie's bed or the other way around every night so they shared a bed, letting Louise have the other.
Jimmy Jr gave a third of his room to Gene. The other two were where his own bed was, his desk, TV and clothes. The third was where he danced, which Gene ended up being able to place his keyboard so he could be apart of it.
Jimmy Pesto didn't like having to clear out the extra room he used as a gym/movie theater for Tina but he did.
While Jimmy did fall for Linda pretty hard, he guiltily enjoyed rubbing it in Bob's face silently. Like when he walked Bob's kids across the street for them to spend the week with Bob. Or when they were going on on a big family walk and Bob watched them leave through the window. Jimmy would have his arm around Linda, Louise would ride on one of the twins backs, the other twin rode on Jimmy Jr's back and Tina started a timer. Gene would scream "Go!" and the pairs would race to the park. Tina would laugh with actual emotion, or what Bob assumed was actual emotion. Gene would run out of breath in an attempt to follow Louise and the Pesto boys. Then other walks were subtle, Linda and Jimmy held hands as they walked behind the kids who stood in a tight row holding hands together. They were squished together so they would fit on the sidewalk.
The Belcher kids cried for a long time at first, they were quiet and Louise was more deadly than ever. They haven't fully gotten used to the fact that Linda and Bob weren't together and it still made them sad to think about. They want to be in their normal family again. But they fake a smile and keep it down for Linda. It's not hard to fake it, Pestos isn't that bad now that he's in love with their mom and they always had fun with the Pesto kids, they were a bigger family combined and get into a lot more messes than they used to.
The idea has grown on them, they've settled into moving back and forth across the street, having two sets of gifts and bedrooms, seeing they're bestfriends/step siblings constantly. It's mainly only awkward when it's silent because anybody could be thinking anything, when the other "dad" is brought up or one of the Belcher kids leave something at Bob's and has to slip in to bring it to Pesto's.
Their first photo as a family was awkward and a surprise to the kids. Louise saw the camera and tried to leave but it's now the first picture they see on the wall upstairs when they walk through the door. ⬇️
