Chapter 4:

I rolled my eyes as Kate wiped her mouth and threw the napkin on her plate standing up, "I should get going.." I stood up too, "Where you going?" She said grabbing my arm as I tried to walk past her. 

"I have things to do Nessa.." I said annoyed with her, though she did nothing. Just standing here in front of me being nothing but how she always is, pissed me the fuck off by itself. 

"You said that earlier, and your plans were to be with her. Are you other plans to be with her this time too?" She raised her eyebrows at me, I rolled my eyes again. 

"Why do you care so much for you're little slut?" Just as she said that Kate stormed out of the diner, I shook my head looking down as my fists curled into balls. 

I sucked on my teeth not wanting to start a fight, "Shut the fuck up, I don't wanna hurt you so just stop.." I growled, "Hurt me?" She scoffed. 

"What're you gonna do daddy? Punish me?" She mocked, I shook my head and shoved my shoulder against her's as I walked past. "You wish you whore.." I mumbled in her ear storming past her. 

She squealed a high pitched groan hearing that, I rolled my eyes and ran for Kate who was running away from the diner. I run and catch up with her. 

"Kate.." I called after her, she slowed down and started walking. I called out to her again, she did nothing. "Kate please.." I stopped as she turned around and showed me her face in which was boiling with anger. 

"What Grayson?! Every time things are good with us, she get's in the way. Why don't you just call it off already?.." She said shaking her head, "You know what? Fine! I will, because you mean more to me than stupid money.." 

She blinked twice not expecting the reaction I had just given her, "Good.." She nodded her head and then turned back around. 

"Are you not gonna let me take you home?" As I said that, she stopped and turned around walking past me. I chuckled, which I instantly regretted doing because she elbowed me in the gut. 

I winced, she scoffed. I playfully rolled my eyes, I drove her to her house and we sat on her front porch. "So...what's your new source of income gonna be?" She said swinging in the hammock chair. 

"Well, I haven't thought about it yet.." "Ooh! What if you get a job at the diner!" "Sound's like fun, I told my dad I was working there to get the money I got anyways." I shrugged. 

Her jaw dropped, "You lied to you're dad? Since when has this guy come around? And where is my bestfriend?" She smirked, I chuckled. 

"Well, I couldn't exactly tell him I'm using a girl for money. So I couldn't think of something else to do, but lie." I shrugged. 

"So not like you, but anyways..." She said raising her eyebrows looking down, I laughed. "Are you really gonna get a job there?" I nodded. "Yeah, I'm gonna try to at least." 

"Wow, that used to be-" "Our favorite place to eat at, I remember." "Wow, I guess my bestfriend must've told you all of our little secret's too huh?" I laughed. 

"Well, I don't remember my bestfriend being so funny." I said smirking, she playfully rolled her eyes. Just then her dad walk's out of the front door, he smiles seeing me. 

We both walk over to eachother and he engulfs me in a tight hug, "Wow, you haven't changed a bit." He says eyeing me carefully. 

Kate pretends to choke, "Shut it!" I rolled my eyes, she laughs. "You haven't aged a day since the last time I saw you." I said bringing my attention back to her father as it once was before. 

"Would you like to stay for a while?" "Oh no, I gotta get home to my dad. But it was nice seeing you again." I said walking down the front porch step's. 

"Yeah, you too kiddo. See ya again tomrrow!" He says as I get in truck, I wave. As I pull out of the driveway, Kate smiles at me as her dad takes her inside. 

As soon as I get home, I see the most unexpected thing I've ever seen. "What is she doing here?" I say putting my stuff on the ground as I watch as Vanessa has mascara everywhere and she's holding onto my dad who's sitting on the couch. 

She cries into his chest after watching me enter, "Grayson Bailey Dolan.." My dad says firmly, and I know he isn't playing around because he said my full name. 

"What did I do?" I said slowly walking over, "Did you hurt this little girl?" My heart start's beating out of my chest. This little bitch want's to play? Let's play...
