After a few minutes of sitting with Vanessa and her friend's I can't stop thinking about Kate, so I get up from the table.

"Where you going?" Vanessa asks me, I take a deep breath before I answer. "I have thing's to do." "Ok, see me after school?" "Yeah, sure." I then left, I walked outside of the school and to our spot.

We would always go here, always. So when I see her laying on the grass as expected she still takes my breath away, it feels so unreal that the girl I once loved and no longer have feeling's for is right here. And not all the way across the country.

I sighed and walked over laying down right next to her, we sat there in complete silence till she finally broke it. "What happened..what happened to the guy I loved..I still love him...but he's gone.." she said sniffling.

All I could do was sit up and pull her into my arms, she sobbed into my chest as I wrapped my arms around her. I sighed knowing I'm the reason she's feeling this way, and I hate that.

She gripped my shirt into her fist's and just completely lost it, watching her break down made me break down as well. I just didn't show it, I wanted-no, I needed- to stay strong for her.

Someone has to be there for one of us to lean on, and I wanna be there for her. I can deal with myself later, right now I need to help her feel better. But how?

As I'm thinking of a way to help her calm down I stroke her hair softly and rub her back, "Shh, it's ok..." I whisper to her, after a few minutes she calms down and look's up at me with the saddest eyes I've ever seen.

"W-why Grayson.." I sighed, "I need the money..." "What?" She said confused as she pulled down the sleeves of the hoodie she had on, he one that used to be mine, to cover her fingertip's.

She wiped her nose softly, I wiped under her eyes staring deeply into them taking in every second I have with her, as I'm glad to have her back.

"She offered me money if I went out with her.." "Y-you're using her?" She said scooting away a little, "No, well, kinda. But she convinced me, she know's how my dad is sick and lost his job and is now struggling with keeping us-"

"He's sick?! I have to see him right now!" she said standing quickly to her feet. "Wait." I grabbed her wrist gently, she froze and turned to look at me.

"He's ok, but he need's rest.." I told her hoping she would wait a while, "Take me, to see him, right. Now.." She said sternly.

                                                    ~15 minutes later~

I knock on my dad's door, "Come in." I step inside and he instantly drop's his smile, "Why aren't you at school son?" I sighed, "You have a visitor.."

He furrows his eyebrow's at me until his eyes trail off to the door, that is slightly opened to reveal Kate. "Hi.." She says with a small voice.

"Hey sweetheart!! How've you been?" he says opening his arm's which she comfortably rest's into. "I've been good, what about you?" She says smiling, which I can tell is forced.

Though he couldn't, no one could. Only I could, no one knew her better than me. I say knew because I feel as though I don't know who she is anymore.

She just left me, of course I'm not as upset about it, but it still hurt's a little. And I forgive her, how could I not? I still love her, I just don't know if I'm in love with her.

"I've been alright darling, how's florida treating you?" He said as she pulled away standing straight on her feet, "It was fun, but we became home sick and came back."
