Chapter 8

Treasure

"DAMMIT!!!!" Midoriya suddenly yelled out. This caused Aizawa to wake up from his nap. He got grumpy and had told his students to go back to their seats. With that, class continued and nothing about the sender was said.

It was now night. There was an eerie silence. Most of the students were asleep by now, however, there were still a few people awake.

Like Midoriya.
Tokoyami.
And Hagakure.

They couldn't sleep. Everyone else also had a hard time getting rest.

In Midoriya's room, Izuku laid on his bed. He stared up at the ceiling. He didn't want to forget about Y/N but he didn't want to think about them either. He thought back to the day it happened. The last words he heard from them.

"Mido-kun! Just know that if I am ever gone, look up at the moon..." Y/N informed while looking at the night sky.

Midoriya couldn't move. He couldn't even speak. The words wouldn't come out of his mouth.

The green haired male saw Mineta make his way to Y/N and asked to touch them. This angered Midoriya but he couldn't do anything. He was slightly disappointed when Y/N saved Mineta from a Nomu but knew it was a heroic act.

"Guys. Please?" He heard them say.

'Why can't I move?! Please. Let me go to them! Let me save them! If I can't save them, let me die with them. PLEASE!' He pleaded in his mind.

"Fine.." They spoke again. Midoriya saw them take a deep breath. When he saw their gaze directed towards him, he couldn't breathe.

'Goodbye.' They mouthed to him. At that, his body finally did what it needed to. He could move and speak and breathe.
Before he could protest, Y/N screamed. "COME AND GET ME, YOU MONSTERS!!"

Midoriya slowly sat up and went towards his window. They told him to look at the moon if they were gone. And now, ever since that day, he finally looked.

It was so beautiful. At a night like this, he needed this. His eyes softened and he became less tense.

Tokoyami heard a quiet knock on his door. He sighed and stood up to answer it. There he saw Hagakure, or her night wear, if front of his door.

"What do you need?" Tokoyami asked. He assumed Hagakure looked right and left before answering his question.

"Do you want to come find get some... treasure?" Tooru whispered. Fumikage thought she must have had consumed something funny. A confused look crossed his features. Hagakure continued with, "In... Y/N's room."

The bird headed male's eyes widened. He never thought Hagakure would raid Y/N's room. "Are you out of your mind?!" Tokoyami whisper-yelled at the invisible female.

"No, but don't you think there would be something in their room? Something we need to see or clues or whatever else they would have wanted us to see or find?"

After a few minutes, Tokoyami hesitantly agreed but told her that someone else should be included.

Once again, Midoriya heard knocks at his door. It was currently 1:57am and he didn't think anyone else was awake at the time. He reluctantly went and opened his door.

"Want to come with us..?" Hagakure asked Midoriya with slight fear. Next to the girl was Tokoyami. Midoriya never expected the pair to come to his door. Honestly, he never expected anyone to try and talk to him after all his outbursts.

"Where?" Midoriya questioned with a harsh tone.

"To L/N's room." Tokoyami whispered. Just as Fumikage had reacted, Midoriya's eyes widened. "I know you might not like this... immoral action but I figured yo--"

"I'll go." Midoriya cut him off with a softer tone. Like how he spoke before Y/N's 'death'.

His two classmates nodded and Midoriya stepped out of his room.

"Let's go find some..." Hagakure paused, contemplating whether or not treasure would be the right word.

Midoriya put his hands in his pocket and sighed. "...treasure." He finished for her.
