ciel's under house arrest, as far as harry can tell. she never has friends over, and whenever she does leave the house, it's with her parents practically guarding her.
the time in between that night and ciel's birthday almost floats by. it's a blur of work, sleeping and crying. harry's boss is pissed at him since he's been slacking off. harry's mum is sad because he hardly calls. harry's friends are annoyed because he never goes out.
harry tries texting, calling and facetiming ciel, but it's evdient that her parents had confiscated her phone.
all in all, it's a pretty shitty two months, that drag by.
but finally, finally ciel's birthday eve rolls around in early august. harry paces in his flat, waiting for the clock to strike midnight.
and finally, finally it's ten to twelve and harry races out of his flat and onto the elevator. he taps his foot impatiently as the stupid thing takes it's sweet time.
finally, finally the elevator opens in the lobby and harry runs out, and runs down the street towards the gated community where ciel lives.
and she's there. she's there, waiting for him. harry wants to cry because she actually came, with a suitcase and everything.
finally, finally he reaches her and scoops her into his arms, lifting her off the ground. he spins her around and kisses her face while she wraps her arms around his neck and holds on tight.
harry sets her down and leans towards her and kisses her hard. his arms wrap around her waist and hers stay on his neck and he's pretty much crying because he's waited so long and missed her so much.
they pull away and harry rests his forehead against ciel's. "come stay with me," he whispers and she nods and harry hugs her again.
"i missed you so much," ciel whispers.
"i missed you too, so much. i missed you so much, too."
ciel laughs through her tears and sniffles. "okay, well, let's go to yours, then."
"ours."
"right, ours."
harry loves the sound of that.
