Childhood Friends

She sits in the corner of her room, staring at the window when she see her best friend's shadow passing by the road. Her mother shout at her to tell her that dinner is ready downstairs in another room.

"Yes, mom I"ll be downstairs in a minute ", she said.

In the dinner table, she tell her family what she see, but her family do not believe she see her best friend is in town. As she, try to convince her family that her best friend is in town, they start to believe her, since her best friend was in London before to attend the university there to continue his master degree.

The next day, they go for shopping in a shopping mall where the family meet him, Emily's best friend, Tim , for the first time after 4 years. Emily's parents almost do not recognize him as he just arrive from London last night. Things change so much because now, Tim has grown so much to be a fine nice and handsome young man.

Emily and Tim were friend, since they were kid as well as their parents. Emily and Tim had spent a lot of time together either it was in school, home and University. They went to the same school and university. Sometimes, they really liked to hang out together at the coffee shop with their friends from school.

Even though, Emily and Tim were friends since kid, their personality was totally different from each other. Emily was the kind of kid that liked to wear a dress when they met up and she was a very modest person. She liked to listen more to the others opinions and stories when they hang out together in a group. While, Tim was the other way around, he liked to talk and always liked to give his opinion when they were having a conversation in a group.

They liked to hang out with 4-5 people in a group. Sometimes they also form a study group.

"Hey, how are you?"

" Would you like to have a coffee? What's your favourite coffee?"

" I didn't quite understand about the material that the teachers explained, can you help me?"

And, after they finished with their study, they talked and laughed out loud together about their jokes and their stories on their daily activities that they like to do besides school.

When it was time for them to graduate from high school, they all went to different university to do the undergraduate degree, except Tim and Emily. They went to the same university.

" Now, that we are graduate and we chose to study in a different university "

" Will you promise each other for whatever happens in the future, we are still friends forever?"

" Yes, promise"

" Let's took a photos together to remind us that we were friends before?"

They were gathered together to have a group photos and hug.

That makes all of them sad and missed each other very much. In their first year in the university, they called almost every night for almost two hours. As time goes by, they got busy with their university's works , they seldom phoned each other again.

The time was finally here, they all graduated from their bachelor degree and once again they chose a different life path from each other. Some of them decided to go to work and some of them chose to continue their further study.

Tim continued his study in London while Emily in New York studied Art. The first year of being away from his best friend and parents, had been the hardest part for Tim. He missed his parents so much that makes he called his parents almost every day just for hearing their voices and to say hello to them.

4 years later, Tim return to New York after graduating the university in London. Now, Tim has reunited with his parents and his best friend, Emily. They chat for hours and hours while enjoying their cup of tea.
