special trip pt. 3 (trying to sleep)

you put your blanket over yourself and hug your duck. "im gonna try to sleep. goodnight." you tell kageyama. "alright i guess i'll try too." he says. you turn off the lights and remove your glasses. its pitch black. you shut your eyes. youre flustered at the thought that you were sleeping in the same bed as tobio, "what is wrong with me? hes just a friend right? then why do i feel like this?" you repeat the thought over and over again questioning yourself, debating over whether you like him or not. twisting and turning, you just cant fall asleep because of jet lag.

kageyama notices that youre moving alot. "maybe she cant fall asleep, should i talk to her?" he wonders and begins to whisper, "hey, lexi are you awake?" you stop moving, "yeah, im really jet lagged." then you two hear talking from downstairs.

alexis: do you hear that?

kageyama: yeah.

alexis: im gonna see who it is.

kageyama: huh?? dont go. what if its some random person that we dont know?

alexis: well maybe you can come with me then?

kageyama: u-uh ok.

kageyama walks down the stairs while you end up holding kageyamas arm because there are no railing nor a barrier protecting you from falling. you see you and tobio's parents talking with your auntie. "oh, maaga kayo gising." your mom asks. kageyama is puzzled. "ha, hindi naman kami na tulog eh." you tell her. "oh? suguro kasi nasa airplane tayo." she says. you scratch the back of your head, "kageyama, she was just saying we woke up early but i told her that we havent even slept yet. how about i teach you just a little tagalog?" he nods.

you both walk upstairs and turn the lights on in the room you and kageyama are sharing. you sit on the bed. "im bored, wanna do something?" you ask him. "yeah, but what?" kageyama lays on the bed and rests his head on his hands. you hover over him and begin tickling him. he gasps and then tries his best not to laugh that loud but he couldnt help it. tobio then flips you over and gets on top of you and he tickles you. you laugh to the point where your stomach hurts real bad. misaki, naoko, and ellie walk in on you two. you both freeze. they slowly walk out of the room closing the door behind them. you get from under kageyama, walk out of your room and walk towards their room, slowly open their door, and threaten them, "dont act like you didnt see anything, we were just having a tickle fight, do i make myself clear?" misaki and ellie hides behind naoko and they both nod slowly. you walk back to the room. "i took care of them." you tell tobio. he snickers. you turn the lights back off and close your eyes

you sigh. you still couldnt fall asleep. it felt like as soon as you opened your eyes, the sun was already rising and you could hear roosters. you sit up to stretch. kageyama opened his eyes, looking at you, "did you sleep?" he asks. you shake your head. "mhm, i didnt either." misaki's mom walks in. "come on, its time to eat." she says. you get up and walk to the stairs, not going down until kageyama got there because your still scared. tobio get there and you hold onto his arm while walking down. you take a seat next to ellie. "sarap! kagama, iyon ang pangalan niya diba, means yummy i tink." you laugh at ellie. "bobo, kageyama, hindi kagama." you get two and a half scoops of rice and grab part of the pampano. kageyama sits there, blanking out. "kageyama its different having fish for breakfast here for you right?" you cut a piece of the fish and put some on his plate while also putting some rice on the plate too, "there, eat up." you smile faintly at him. 

you all finish eating and your three cousins ellie, hana, and diana  are about to go a bike ride with misaki but misaki doesnt feel like pedaling so shes riding on one of their bikes. "hey what a coincidence, there's two extra bikes. im gonna go ride with them, you coming with me?" you ask tobio. "n-no thanks, sorry." he responds. you question him, "aww, why not, you know how to ride a bike right?" kageyama averts his gaze from you, mumbling his words, "i-i dont know h-how.." your eye widen and pat his head. "then ride with me!" you enthusiastically tell him. you take his wrist and drag him outside. kageyama is clearly blushing. you get on the bike and pat the seat behind you. he sits down. "you better hold on to something, i bike pretty fast!" you smirk. he doesnt know what to hold on so he just puts his hands on his lap. "wait for us!" you begin accelerating. soon enough your going really fast. "hey! slow down a little!" kageyama yells, holding tightly onto your shoulders. "hah, i told you i bike fast!" you two go up the tall hill without them. 

you two get to the top and get off (the hill is flat). "just sit and wait." you tell him. not long after that, misaki and the rest come up and see naoko actually came with them with a basket and blanket. they spread the checkered blanket out and put the basket in the middle. "a-ahah we will be right back totally... you two stay haha stay here and eat without u- heh- OW" misaki says but gets cut off by naoko hitting her. "dont blow it." naoko mumbles. you and kageyama are both confused. you take some two bags of plain potato chips from the basket and hand him one. "i guess we could sit here and talk while we wait." he says. you agree and talk about the places in the philippines. 

its been a while since they left and they still havent come back. you lay down on the left side of the picnic basket and stare at the clouds. kageyama lays down next to you and points at one of the clouds. "that cloud right there, what does it look to you ?" tobio asks. your response was a little delayed trying to think of what it looked like, "it looks like a pear, what does it look like to you?" tobio exhales. "a pear." you laugh quietly. it goes quiet and all you two could hear was birds chirping. then you hear grass and a snap, it was the third time you heard it, like there was someone there taking a picture. it startles you but you go check it out. "where are you going." kageyama asks. you just look at him but then turn away. you sigh but look to see that the group that left never actually left. you walk back up with them but the group that "left" all had bumps on there head. tobio laughs. "im heading back, come on kags." you two get on the same bike as before and head off, leaving the others to pick up the stuff. 

you and kageyama get back home and get off the bike and you rest the bike against the wall.  when you got inside you both saw your parents sitting next to his parents. "where have you two been!?" you look at your mom with confusion, "why are you only asking us? werent the others gone too?"

your mom: they came here to let us know they were going out! you two were the ones who didnt let us know!

you stood there silent.

kageyama: u-um.. well we went with them to u-uh go on a bike ride a-and they left us and told us to stay at the top of the hill.

kageyama (whispering voice): calm down alexis.

your dad: go to your room alexis and dont go out of the house until tomorrow at 6:00 PM.

you walk up to the room almost in tears but you hold it in until you got to the room. you hid under the blankets hugging your stuffed toy getting tears all over it. "its so childish of me to be crying over this." you thought to yourself. 

your mom talked to kageyama and asked him if he could calm you down. you heard the door creak open and gasp trying to wipe away the remaining tears while you still could. "hey.. alexis, uh..." kageyama tried to think of a way to cheer you up, "...do you want m-me to do a-anything for you?" you look at the ceiling and put your glasses back on. "eh, its fine." you tried to act tough. he sighs and lays down beside you with. suddenly misaki barges into the room with waterfalls in her eyes. "IM SORRY ALEXIS!!!!!!!" she says throwing her arms around you. "yeah yeah whatever its alright." you tell her. you all go to your cousins room and you sit at their desk going on the internet to watch conspiracy theories.

your eyes became heavy to the point where you fall asleep in the chair. "i think im gonna sleep, youre coming with me right alexis?" kageyama looks at your face to find that you already fell asleep. he taps your shoulder and tries to wake you up but it doesnt because you were a pretty deep sleeper. hana then shakes you but that didnt work either. "um so what are we gonna do now?" misaki asks, "ooh wait! i know! you should carry her back kageyama!" kageyama was kind of shocked and embarrassed when he heard her say that. "w-what?! cant one of her cousins carry h-her?" misaki gave a wink to your cousins and started mouthing stuff, "just tell him your not strong enough." the three cousins nod. "kageyama we're not strong enough. just carry her." the start to whisper, "...carry her like a bride hehe." tobio finally give in and carries you (just like a bride?) and looks to the side the entire time. "can s-someone open t-the d-door and my d-door t-too?" naoko opens the two doors and winks at him. after tobio got out of the room he laid you down on bed with your duck and then lays down on the bed with you. "goodnight lexi." he says before closing his eyes.
