"Bhai we need to leave in an hour. Get ready asap." Akash reminded me about our college reunion. Yes I am Arnav Singh Raizada, we have a small reunion of Indian students who studied in Harvard. Back then i wasn't interested in making friends but now the story is different. I am a changed man now and all the credit goes to only one person, my wife. 

"Sure Akash. But its not us who need to check time but the ladies who take all the time of the universe to get ready for a small get together." I teased Akash in front of Payal Knowing well that his pregnant wife is not going to take this joke easily and will blast on Akash soon.

"Bhai kyu marwana chah rhe ho?" Akash said almost crying. (Bhai why do you want me killed?)

"Best of luck, brother."I winked smiling and went to my room to check my world what she is doing.

IN THE ROOM

The whole of the room was messed up. Clothes were scattered here and there all over the bed, recliner and even on the floors. And my Queen was on roll on blabbering. I think she's searching something inside the closet that's why she didn't register my presence at the door.

"Hey Devi Maiyyan hum kya pehanke jaye? Humein to kuch samajh nii aa rha. Inke party me to saree aur suit pehan nii skte hm. Aur gowns me to aapko pta h ki hm kisi joker se km nii lagenge. Madad kijiye Devi maiyaan. Hum inhe sarminda nahi krna chahte. Hum nahi chahte ki hmare kaaran inka sir jhuke. "she blabbered to herself. I was shocked to know her line of thought. She shought she can embarrass me ? WTF? She is my pride, how can she be any sort of embarrassment? Even after 2 years of our marriage she have self doubt? I am hell dissapointed.

(Ohh Devi Maiyyan what should i wear? I don't understand. I can't wear suits or sarees in such parties. And as you know i look like a joker in gowns. Help me. I don't want to embarrass him. I don't want to be the cause of his embarrassment.)

"Khushi?" I registered my presence in the room. She looked at me startled.

"Ohh Arnavji, aap kab aaye?"she asked (When did you came?)

"Jab aap apni Devi Maiyyan se baatein kr rhi thi."i answered (When you were talking with your Devi Maiyyan)

"Aapne sab sun liya?"she asked scared (You heard everything?)

"Yes!"i nodded curtly.

"Arnavji ab aap hi batayiye na ham kya pehne?" she asked with all the confusion of the world in her mind. (Arnavji, now you tell me what should i wear?)

"Anything which you like." i answered.
