A/N: Hey guys I'm back! I hope you're all staying safe! I know it's been a long time since I've updated this story but don't worry, I intend on completing it, I have everything planned out :). As for this chapter, I'm not too sure how I feel about it since it's been over a year since I've last written anything but I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things.
So without much further ado please enjoy the chapter. Don't forget to like and comment, your opinions mean a lot to me. ^_^
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail, If I did I would add a savage Gilgamesh.
Her weakness
oOoOo
Gray sat unmovingly on a bar stool, his eyes were glued to the guildhall door. He had been in the same position for the past 2 hours waiting for Juvia to arrive. The ice mage frowned, he knew he should have gone straight to fairy hill to pick her up. Why did he decide to go to the guildhall first? Gray's frown deepened as he thought of all the possible things that could happen to Juvia on her way to the guildhall. She was vulnerable and broken in his eyes. She needed protection, and he was the only one who could provide it. He was the only one who understood her pain.
Releasing a sigh, Gray peeled his eyes away from the guild door to look at Cana, who was sat beside him. Her long wavy brown hair swayed gently following the motion of her body as she tried to keep herself sat up straight. A drunken smile plagued her lips, causing Gray to sigh.
"Heeeeey, Graaaaaaay. W-whyyy the loooong face" she slurred "Arwe yoou swwaaaad Juuuuvvvia no longwaar looves youuuu?"
Grays' eyes hardened as he looked at Cana. Juvia couldn't fall out of love with him, no matter how bad things got Juvia would still love him, she was just confused at the moment. Sighing again, Gray glanced at the guildhall door.
But what if she didn't love him? It didn't matter; he loved Lucy, he had just grown accustomed to Juvia continually showering him with affection.
Gray was snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of the guild door opening, sitting up straight he turned his whole body so that he was fully facing the door.
From the corner of his eye, he could see Gajeel who was on his other side take a step closer to him. Deciding to ignore the iron dragon slayer Gray watched as the blunette he had been waiting for slowly walked in. Her once perfect blue hair was now a tangled mess, and her bright blue eyes were dull, drained of colour and consumed with tiredness. His eyes scanned over her slender form, she was thinner, her skin ghostly pale and her beautiful blue dress was rumpled.
Gray watched as she slowly looked around the large guildhall before her eyes eventually landing on him, but before he could mouth any words to her, her eyes shifted from him to Levi. Gray's eyes followed Juvia's pale form as she walked towards Levi, who was across the guildhall from him. Frowning again, Gray got up to walk towards her, but a firm hand on his arm stopped him.
"Let go of me Gajeel" Gray growled as he tried to rip his arm out of the iron dragon slayer's grip.
"No"
This caused Grays eyes to narrow into a glare.
"Gajeel. Let. Go. Of. Me"
Gajeels eyes also narrowed as he tightened his grip on Gray's arm.
"No".
Releasing a huff, Gray sat down again but kept his eyes glued on Juvia. He watched as she spoke with Levy and Wendy. A small smile was present on her face, but it lacked the brightness and life of her usual smile. The ice mage face twisted into a scowled as Lucy approach the group, she was happy and lively. Juvia should be happy too, she shouldn't be suffering, what gave Lucy the right to be happy?
