sometimes it feels like the rain never stops
it's always dragging u down
the weight of the water soaking ur soul
and all u can remember is rain
always looking at the ground
because u can't see the sky through the storm
cold and cloudy and hopeless
but u can't make the rain stop
it's easy to slump to the ground
focus on the weight on ur shoulders
the lonely pain in ur heart
and endure a rain that rages on
but when someone brings u an umbrella
will u take it?
if it hurts to walk on ur bare feet
and they find u a pair of shoes
will u wear them?
if they give u their hand to hold
can u trust them?
or have u found comfort in the ground
sitting where u are just because
u got used to the dirt?
even if it's always raining
there are things to look towards
and many things to smile for
to stay strong for through tough winds
u may always hear the sound of rain
slapping on the ground in ur ears
but there will be a rainbow
when the sun comes out
and u deserve to see all it's beauty
just like everyone else
