Y/N's POV
-4 months later-
"Niall, do you think the baby will kill her?" I asked of course afraid of losing a friend.
"I don't know Y/N. You heard what she said. No siren mother has ever lived past a second child birth. I know you're afraid you'll lose a friend."
"I know you can read my thoughts, Niall. But that's also an invasion of privacy when you read someone's emotions." A mental message sent to Niall. I know he can hear me.
"Sorry." He says aloud.
Niall's phone rings. He answered and I picked up every word.
"It's coming!" Ash said.
"Niall, come on, let's speed there."
I said breaking into a run towards Ash's place. I arrived at Ash's apartment stupidly, forgetting that Sarah couldn't move; I quickly raced over to Presley's old place.
Sarah was screaming on the couch and Niall was holding one hand while Ash was birthing the babe. I grabbed Sarah's other hand to keep her calm.
"Breathe, Sarah, Breath." I said calmly to her as she squeezed my hand.
"Push!" Ash yelled repetitively.
"I see a head!" He said after a while, "I see the stomach!" After a while he shouted, "I see the feet!" He cut the umbilical cord and Sarah let go of mine and Niall's hand. She smiled a gentle smile.
"I'm still alive!" She yelled.
"Asher is so handsome. He'll be a heart-breaker just like his father. Wait your still alive!?" Ash said breaking into a yell at the end and tearing up.
"Yeah! I am!" She said tearing up herself.
"I know why." Niall said.
"What?" We all asked, looking at him impatiently.
"She didn't have a C-section. Sarah did your mom have a C-section or a birth like this?" Niall said and asked.
"She had a C-section, because there were two of us. Most sirens do." She replied.
"See, I can think on an empty stomach." He laughed as we all did.
