Chapter 3

They held eachother for what felt like years, but was only 5 minutes.
"Come downstairs I have to show you something" kenny said softly
He took her hand and lead her down the stairs back into the kitchen her hand was shaky and clamy. He reached out onto the counter and grabbed a box wrapped in purple and black wrapping paper. "Open it" he smiled. She opened it with one hand because her other was still locked Kennys.
It was a stuffed black bear. It was fluffy and had a pale Purple Heart on the stomach. Instead of a verbal response she turned to kenny With the bear still in her hand and hugged him. Half of the hug was excitement and a "Thank you" and the other half was just the fact she needed someone. And Kenny was there for her. He was smart and knew she needed a distraction. "Let's make cookies and then we can watch a movie okay?" "She nodded. Everything was going smoothly. Her tears had stopped and she was emotionally distracted from her pain that kian had caused her. The ultimate thing too do after a break up was to bake and eat. The cookies were made and Kenny chose "Grown Ups" because a love story would be too soon. During the movie her head rested on his shoulder and his arm was around Her. blanket covered them both and everything was going great. The movie came to an end and Kenny suggested they go out to dinner. "Yeah one sec let me just get my purse" Andrea ran upstairs and Kenny waited sitting on the couch. Minutes passed and she still didn't come. Kenny walked up to her room to find her on the bed curled up in a fetal position with her phone in her hand and a text on the screen which read "im sorry ..." from kian. "Don't reply he's not worth your tears. " she heard Kenny's voice but lay motionless.he went around the other side of the bed a curled up next to her. He removed the phone from her hand and slid his hand into hers. And suddenly their worries faded and nothing else mattered.
