Tomura left after Dabi had practically jumped him to separate him from you. As the first week progressed, Tomura couldn't get his thoughts straight and every time he'd see you, he wanted to talk to you but would consistently decide against it.
Eventually, he began sending Dabi on tougher and tougher missions. He timed him and one the last mission he sent him on he advised him it could be a couple days before he got back. When Dabi was gone past the 6 hour mark, Tomura grabbed a chair and headed up to your and Dabi's room.
