Chapter 6- things are getting good

After Keith and Pidge got back from getting Pidges stuff Keith got a text.

Shiro:hey kiddo, I  am picking up Matt then will be bringing Chinese food home from that one buffet you like. Be home in an hour or so.

Keith: okay be safe. Oh and by the way Pidge is staying the night. That's okay with you right?

Shiro:of course! I love when Pidge stays over. And I think after yesterday you both need it

Keith: thanks.

Keith told Pidge about the update and that they should probably go freshen up since they had been walking and had gotten sweaty on there walk.
  
                  Pidges POV
At first Pidge had a hard time believing what she read. The fact that the very man who almost killed her was not on the lose scared her more then she lead on. Zarkon was extremely strong and Keith could barely keep her safe last time. Alright.she told herself. Keith will keep me safe. I trust him he has gotten stronger since then. After Keith and Pidge both freshened up they sat on the couch together talking about nerdy stuff like star wars until Matt and Shiro arrived.
           Pidge went over and hugged Matt and said hi to shiro while Keith went to hug Shiro.
"So" Keith asked"how did it go?did you get the job?" Before Shiro had a chance to answer Keith's phone started ringing.

                Keith's POV
     

       Keith looked at his phone in confusion. He never got calls from anyone and the people he texted every day where with him so who was calling him? Keith looked at the caller ID and I'd said Restricted Soo Keith just swiped it to voicemail.
"So as you where saying Shiro. How did it go?" Keith asked again. Pidge gave Keith a concerned face and Keith just smiled at her reassuringly.
"Well...... I got the job I start next week!!" Shiro said excitedly. Everyone started congratulationing him on his new accomplishment.
"So Shiro" Matt began. "I think you should probably get a haircut before you start. You know for a fresh look" shiros hair was short but still a bit over grown in the back and he had a really over grown tuff of hair in the front of his face.

"Yeah your probably right" Shiro said. "But for now, let's eat" everyone agreed to that and went to the table to eat. Shiro and Matt mostly talked to each other and Pidge and Keith where fine with that they just continued the nerdy conversation form before. After dinner Matt went home he said he had to get up early for work in the morning and then Shiro said he needed to email his old boss saying this would be his last week at target where he currently worked.
              So Pidge and Keith went to Keith's room to talk.
"So... Who called you earlier?" Pidge asked Keith.

"Well I don't know the number was restricted. But it was probably just a prank call." After Keith said that Pidge seemed to tense and relax at the same time.
After a but if light arguing they decided to watch the walking dead. Since they where together ba lot they started a lot of shows together. Keith didn't like the gore of the walking dead but Pidge loved it so he just looked away when needed. After a bit Keith notice he had an unread text from Lance.

Lance: Keith..... I think I messed up.

Keith: what do you mean?

Lance: i told my family that I am bisexual. My mom and siblings excepted me but my dad didn't.

Keith: oh Lance I am sorry but I don't see how you messed up. Everyone still except you and i am sure your dad will come around.

Lance: my dad got a hold of my phone and read our text messages.....

Keith: okay so

Lance:he found your number and called you.... Keith my father is a very dangerous man. If he finds you he will kill you and everyone you love. I know we just met and i am still basically a stranger but you have to trust me on this one. Dont under no circumstances pick up your phone unless you know who it is.

Keith took a moment to prosseced what Lance just told him. I'm Spider-Man. He told himself. I will be fine. And I can protect the people I love.

Keith: okay thanks for letting me know. I will be careful. And be careful yourself.

Lance: okay I will.

Keith checked the time. It was 1:25 am and Pidge had fallen asleep leaning against Keith. Keith turned off the TV and pulled a blanket.ovwr the two of them and let sleep take him away.
           Keith woke up by being violently shaken by no other then Pidge.
"Ugh, Pidge what"Keith said groggyly.
"I think there is someone in the house"

"Yeah Shiro loves here to ya know"

"No Keith Shiro came in while you where asleep to say goodbye and that he would be back late tonight." At that Keith woke up. He had no clue who could be in the house. Could it be. After a moment of listening they heard some shuffling.

"Alright Keith go out there and kick some but"Pidge said is her usual sassy tone.
"Okay okay, stay here and hide just in case." Keith put on his red and black suit and quietly went down stairs. At first he didn't see anything and thought it was just a false alarm until he looked into the kitchen and saw a stranger sitting at the counter reading the news paper and drinking coffee.
"Hey!!what are you doing here!?" Keith shouted.
"Oh so spider-man is here. Not the person I was looking for" the man said. This confused Keith. But soon noticed the man was reaching for something but before he could grab it Keith webbed his hands to the counter.
"Who where you looking for and what did you want with them?" Keith questioned but got no answer. Keith at this point just decided to take him to the police station no being in the mood to interagate this man.
When Keith got back he found Pidge on the couch watching the walking dead.
"So what was that about?" Pidge asked Keith.
"Probably just some guy of drugs or something"Keith replied then flopped down on the couch next to Pidge.
