"Den!"

I'm shouted her name, hoping for a response.

She did responded, she smile at me.

The same smile I've been inlove for the past 5 years.

I must admit, I'm head over heels for her!

A girl who has been my bestfriend since elementary.

I just found out that I love her when we were just in first year highschool.

And up to this day, she is still the one that I love.

"Hey Den! You're daydreaming again!"

I then walked closer and made fun of her hair which was quite messy.

"Den, have you ever considered a new hairstyle?"

She gently pushed me and what can I say, that's how we care fo each other.

"Look who's talking! A person who has the hair and the looks of a folklore giant!!" den said.

I laughed. "Good one Den!", I said holding my tummy.

"So what are you thinking about a while ago?" I said then put around my arms on her shoulders.

"Ly, I need help with somebody.."

"I really dont know what to do." Den said, she sound confused.

I braced myself.

The tone of her voice is very familiar.

She was in-love and yet again, I knew.

Imagine that for 5 years, I watched her fall in-love, get hurt and love again.

I was bound to know.

"So who's the lucky guy this time?" I asked.

"I dont know how to tell him yet.."

"You're going to help me tell him, right Ly?" sh said and I looked into her eyes.

She is inlove.

"Of course! What are friends are for?" I said and smiled at her.

But in reality, I was laready dying inside..

For the girl that I secretly loved was slipping into my grasp.

"I think I love him already..." den said looking so dreamy.

"How do you say that?" I said and she stared at me, as if  wanting to say something.

"I really don't know Ly... Maybe he's the one? I don't really know..."

"How sweet.." I thought.

"Then, I've got to meet this guy! So who is he really?" trying to look excited.

And there he was, the varsity of the school basketball team, Myco.

He was the "perfect" guy.

Kind.

Tall.

Handsome.

You name it!

In short...

He was everything I was not.

And everything I will never be.

Oh why cupid? why!

Why she must fall in-love with a guy I will never be?

"Oh, is it Myco?" I said, while forcing a smile.

"Sorry Besh, I think you have tough competition with this one. It's kind of hopeless.."

She laughed then started punching my shoulder.

"Why was she happy?" I pondered.

"Hopeless? Whst are you saying? He's courting me already.." she said and smiled so sweetly.

My heart broke into bits that very instant.

I was petrified.

And for the moment I thought...

"Is this a nightmare?"

"What did I do to deserve this?"

"Is it because I'm a girl who fell inlove with a person who has the same gender?"

"Oh please wake me up.."

But then it hit me..
