Chapter 1

Mayte Garcia woke up at 8:53AM and she got up out of bed.

 "Ahh... good morning, Mia." Mayte said 2 her Boston Terrier Mia. 

"Bark!" She wagged her tail at her.

 "Hey, calm down girl! I gotta get dressed!" Mayte laughed a little as she walked 2 her closet.

"I wonder what I should wear, maybe this?" Mayte asked herself as she pulled out a flowy pink dress.

 "I'm gonna maybe wear this 4 2night." She put it back in2 her closet as she pulled out a long sleeved gray plaid sweater and some blue jeans.

"I guess I should take these Pajamas off." Mayte looked at herself in the mirror as she took her Pajamas off.

"Well, let me put my outfit on." Mayte picked it up as she put it on.

"Perfect! I might as well go downstairs." Mayte petted Mia as she walked downstairs.

"I can't wait 4 2night, I'm gonna go out 4 drinks." Mayte smiled 2 herself as she walked in2 her kitchen. 

"I guess I can make myself something b4 I head out." Mayte grabbed a box of Frosted Flakes and a bowl.

"Haha! Almost 4got the most important thing; the bowl!" Mayte laughed a little as she poured some in the bowl and got her a glass of milk.

"Perfect! I can't wait 2 eat this." Mayte sat down at her dining table and grabbed her phone. 

"Ugh, I wish I had some1 2 talk 2." Mayte sighed as she scrolled through her contacts.

"I guess I can talk 2 my dad, John." Mayte sighed again as she texted him. 

"I just need 2 wait 4 2night." Mayte said.

A few hours passed and it was 8 PM. 

"Hey, it's time 2 go out." Mayte walked upstairs. 

"Let me go put my dress on." Mayte picked it out of her closet and put it on.

"Perfect! Now I gotta head out, I'll c u later, Mia!" Mayte smiled at Mia and walked downstairs.

"Now I gotta get my keys, and my wallet." Mayte said as she grabbed her keys and her purse.

"I guess I'll take my whole purse." Mayte sighed 1 last time as she walked out the door and locked it.

"Maybe I can meet a friend." Mayte thought as she sighed again and got in her car, starting 2 drive.

"Maybe I can find some1 2night, do u think I can get lucky?" Mayte asked herself as she stopped at a red light.

"Ugh... I just wanna head somewhere." Mayte rolled her eyes as she slowly banged her head on the steering wheel then looked back at the road.

"Oh god." Mayte said as she started driving again.

"Good thing I'm almost here." Mayte sighed again as she turned.

"Ah! There it is." Mayte pulled in and parked next 2 a Chevy Silverado. 

"Hey whoever's truck that is, it's nice." Mayte smiled as she walked in.

"Whoa, so many people... will any1 like me?" Mayte thought 2 herself as she looked around with her heart racing.

"Ahh... I'm 2 shy... how am I supposed 2 walk up 2 some1 and ask 2 b their friend?" Mayte thought 2 herself again as she looked down and walked up 2 the bartender.

"Hey! What would u like?" The Bartender asked. 

"Uh, just a Strawberry Margarita." Mayte said as she took her wallet out.

"Okay! 6 dollars." The Bartender said as he gave her the drink. 

"Okay, take it." Mayte said as she put a 10 dollar bill down and walked away with her drink.

"Ugh... I feel so alone..." Mayte looked around as she looked down. 

Mayte looked back up as she saw some1 walk near her. 

"Huh?" Mayte said as she looked up at him.

"Hey, r u okay over here?" Cole Swindell asked her. 

"Oh uh, yes I am." She said as she looked down with her hand on her heart.

"R u sure?" He asked her as he lifted her head up. 

"Ugh okay... I'm not." She said 2 him as she took a deep breath.

"Hey what's wrong? I may not know u but... here." He gently took her phone and added his number on it.

"Here u go, hit me up when u need some1." Cole smiled at her. 

"T-thanks... I just feel a little lonely, but thank u." Mayte smiled nervously as she took a sip of her drink.

"Want me 2 stay over here with u?" He asked her as she looked at her. 

"Yes, I don't wanna b in here alone, I'm scared about what drunk people r capable of.." Mayte said as she looked up at him as she blushed.

"Hey, if u need anything, I'm here." Cole said 2 her as he rubbed her arm a little. 

"Hey can I ask u somethin'?" He asked her as he looked in her eyes. 

"Okay, ask me anything." Mayte said as she smiled nervously. 

"May I... may I have this dance?" He asked her. 

"Yes." Mayte said as she nervously took his hand. 

"Hey r u okay?" He asked her as he looked at her. Y-yes... I'm just a bit nervous... Mayte shook a bit as she took a breath. It'll be okay... don't act awkward! You'll mess it all up. She thought to herself. Okay, well come on and let's dance. Cole looked at Mayte as he held her hand a bit tighter. Hey look just take a deep breath, it's okay. Cole smiled at her. Okay... I will, you're really nice, what is your name? Mayte asked as she giggled a bit. Oh uh, my names Cole, what's yours? Cole asked her as he smiled and blushed. Uh... M-Mayte... Mayte said as she took a few deep breaths. Hey don't get light headed from breathin too hard, stay calm. He smiled at her as he danced with her. Oh uh... okay well, I am a dancer, wanna watch me dance? She asked him as she smiled nervously. Okay! Cole said as he let her hand go and he kept his eyes on her. Okay... here it goes... Mayte said as she slowly danced in front of Cole. Ooh, nice. He smiled as he looked up at her. Oh uh- t-thanks. She took a deep breath as she smiled at Cole. Ah... can he stop staring at me? He looks kinda cute. She Thought to herself as she looked at him as she walked a bit closer to him. Uh huh? He asked her as he smiled at her. Uh- uh- nothing... Mayte started to sweat a bit as she walked into a wall. Ouch! She screamed quietly as she took a short breath. What happened? Cole asked her as he ran near her. I... I guess I ran into a wall...? Mayte said as she looked at him with a sick smile. Are you okay..? He asked her as he looked at her. Not really... Mayte said to him as she fell to the floor. Ah! What happened?! Cole said as he got down on the floor and looked at her. Are you awake? He asked. She looked up at Cole. I'm barely awake... I feel like I'm... Mayte said to Cole as she slowly closed her eyes and blacked out. Mayte? He asked her as he shook her softly. Oh god... he picked her up as he looked at her. Oh... oh man... Cole ran outside as he got in his truck, putting her in the backseat. Oh man... I hope she'll be okay... Cole said to himself as he took a deep breath. She will be, she has to be. Cole said. A few minutes passed and he made it. Ahh, now we just gotta get in. Cole said as he got out the truck and got her out the backseat. She still isn't up... oh I'll do anythin for you to wake up. He said as he looked at her unconscious body as he ran in the building. A few more minutes passed and she was put in a room. Oh man... I hope she'll be okay... he looked at her as he rubbed her hand and a tear fell down his face.
