- Snow -
"Ugh!" I scoffed, rolling over in my slovenly sheets as the sunlight hissed at my face. My disheveled, bright red curls were scattered across my pillow, and every breath I exhaled smelled faintly of ammonia and eviscerated, decomposing corpses.
Thankfully, I had nobody to share this putrid moment with.
Glancing around my room, I noticed a messy assortment of notebooks, freshly-sharpened colored pencils and other stationery items giving me a great aesthetic pleasure. Funny how I didn't notice them last night. Slowly but surely, I pushed myself out of bed, letting my feet hit the cool white linoleum floor of my room.
I checked my phone to see that I have actually woken up before the alarm could go off.
Great start to be honest.
I slowly padded my way towards the bathroom and took a nice hot bath, taking my time, soaking into the Louise Odier rose flavoured body wash I use all the time and washed my hair with an identical rose flavoured shampoo.
I quickly finished drying myself and put on my clothes that consisted of a simple light grey skinny jeans and white full sleeve shirt with my white fila shoes. I blow dried my hair and pulled it up in a high pony tail leaving few strands of hair to frame my face. I wore my jewelry and dabbed a small amount of make-up and looked into the mirror.
Satisfied, I picked up my bag which was set for the day weeks back and I happily took it from my room and went downstairs.
The fresh smell of Banana pancakes and coffee filled up my senses when I went towards the dinning. Steele was already there stuffing his face with big fat bites of the pancakes mom made.
"Good morning Snow! Sleep well?" questioned my dad as soon I took a seat beside him.
I simply nodded and looked at my mom expectantly to bring me my plate of food. Dad just chuckled and went back to reading his newspaper and occasionally taking his business calls.
"You excited for senior year?" asked Steele when he almost finished his food.
"Totally!" I replied not wanting to start off my first day with all the talking at home already, let's save that for later please.
He hummed in response as we all fell into our morning routine with our occasional banters and overt public display of affection from our parents which only made Steele and I to gag with our parent's laughter at our misery.
We quickly kissed them goodbye and went towards Steele's white Camaro. We decided to go to school together the first day as my car was up for upgradation service at the moment.
Yes. We are spoiled.
Just like very other kid that goes to Oakwood High, the school only where rich kids ruled and rare cases of students joining with a scholarship survived there.
For our 17th birthday, our parents decided to gift us each with a car with a pick of our own. Steele took the first car he ever laid his eyes upon that being his white Camaro and I opted for a purple Lamborghini.
I love my car but too bad it's not here with me. I'll be back on with it soon though.
We drove to school which was a 20 minute drive from our mansion. We both fell into a comfortable silence as I thought about all the things that happened last night and what is bound to happen next.
Reign Cavanaugh.
He seems to plague my mind ever since he came out the bushes with his blue world looking into my soul searching for something I don't know or have.
