Broken In Two (TaoRis)

No More

SuHo placed his arm over Tao's limped shoulders. "He'll be okay, promise. We're lucky we found him in time. He knew exactly Tao felt, Lay was in the hospital once before for dislocating his shoulder, but then again, this was much more serious.

All EXO members were sitting impatiently and panicked with serious frowns outside the ER.

"I'm getting really worried, hyung" Baekhyun looked at Chanyeol with pleading eyes.

Chanyeol put his arm around Baekhyun and gently squeezed. "Kris hyung is strong, he can out stand any pain there is to cross."

"Even this one?"

"Yes, even this." He knew this was a bold lie, but he had to find someway to comfort his love.

Baek could tell it was a lie, he knew his boyfriend too well, but he didn't want to make him mad.

Lay was sitting beside SuHo staring at the ground cluelessly but with tears in his eyes. It was now time for SuHo to comfort him.

Across the room was D.O sitting on Kai's lap, Chen whispering to XiuMin who had his head on Chen's shoulder, and an exhausted Luhan sleeping on Sehun due to all his fits of crying.

"He has a really bad case of myocarditis which is the inflammation of the middle layer of the heart" A doctor explained.

Everyone looked at the doctor with wide and scared eyes. However, the ones that had no clue of what myocarditis was started panicking at "inflammation of heart". I mean, the heart is what keeps you alive, right?

Seeing those faces filled with worry, terror, and tears, he quickly added, "but he does have a chance or recovery, it will just take a lot of time, patience, and relaxation. He doesn't have a high chance of anything to serious like death or an attack"

"I'm ok guys, really" Kris sitting up on bed repeated over and over.

Tao came over and took his hand. "How many times has this happened?"

"Twice, but last time wasn't this painful."

"We're glad you're ok. The doctor is going to give you some medicine to reduce the pain if it ever happens again. You will need rest, lots of rest, eat more, and watch out for yourself", SuHo said in the leader tone. He had a serious expression signaling to Kris that a good leader takes care of everyone, everyone.

"Aye" Kris laughed while saluting but he gasped right after.

"You ok?" Chanyeol, worried, came to the side of the bed.

Tao tightened his grip on the hand still lying of the bed.

"Yea yea, just sore in the arms"

XiuMin nodded with a sad expression

"You know you will have to rest for some time....might not be able to perform on stage," Chen inched forward. He wanted to get it out but didn't want to put pressure.

Some gasped, eyes widening. Baekhyun stalked over and slapped Chen "lightly" on the head. LuHan dragged them out of the room. Lay placed his hand on Kris shoulder prepared to comfort him. Kris laid his head back, closed eyes, taking deep breaths.

"That's ok, I know I need to rest. Kai, go outside and check on Lu ge, Baekhyun, and Chen, please," Kris returned to his original position and plastered a fake smile on.

"Ya! Chen! You can't just suddenly come out with that. Kris just came out of the emergency room, you want to give him another heart attack?!" LuHan yelled with his fist on the wall.

"Lu! Ca-" Baekhyun tried speaking.

"It wasn't a heart attack..." Chen whispered holding back tears.

Kai burst out blocking Chen from those scary eyes of LuHan.

Seeing those pleading, watery eyes, LuHan took a deep breath and his hands went back to his sides.

"I'm sorry guys.... I just think the news of him not being able to perform is just too much for some to handle, especially Tao and Kris. I mean, he's in the hospital due to heart problems and preforming is a huge part in his life, just like everyone else, right?"

Baek nodded, Kai backed away, and Chen hugged LuHan tightly whispering i'm sorry  over and over.

"Ugh, what to do," Kai whispered to Baekhyun leaning against the wall.

Baekhyun shook his head, shoulders slumped.

"Hey hey guys, shall we go get some food for hyung?" Chen asked smiling.

"Yea, he should be hungry," LuHan urged, "actually I'll just go with Chen while you two go back in and try talking to Kris."
