The kit's eyes opened. Next to him, was a silver-ish she-cat, the size of him, fast asleep, and a larger blue-grey she cat, wide awake. The kit tilted his head at the big one. They were in a moss nest, in a large cave. The kit looked around. His eyes widened, as the large she-cat looked at him, proudly. Is she going to hurt me? He thought. "Hollykit." The she-cat murmured. The kit tilted his head more. "What?" He mewed. "Oh. That's your name. Hollykit. I am Icewhisper, your mother." Hollykit stopped tilting his head, and looked at the little she-cat. "I don't know what I'll call her." Icewhisper mewed. Hollykit nodded and looked around the cave. The she-cat smiled. "We are in ShadowClan. Our leader is Nightstar and our deputy is Cinderfur." Hollykit looked out of the cave. "You wouldn't want to go out there!" She mrrowed with laughter. Then, she added in a more serious tone, "There are cats out there with a horrible sickness." Hollykit gave a loud squeak and scampered into his nest. "We can meet the other kits!" Icewhisper offered. Hollykit nodded and climbed out of the nest. Soon, Hollykit saw eyes. Then, before he could run, a kit leapt onto him, her eyes sparkling mischieviously. "Hi! I'm Echokit!" She squeaked.
