If You Were Mine

PROLOGUE

"What are your plans?" He stared at me like I did a very bad decision.

"Many to mention " he sighed heavily and massage his temple. Looks like I'm giving him too much headache, eh?

"Your life is in New York. tapos iiwan mo lang?" he really looked so annoyed and stressed but his controlling his self to burst out. I shrugged my shoulder and fix my Gucci bag.

I know his concern about my career abroad, but it has nothing to worry about. I just need to take a break and enjoy my life away from those stressful work.

"You don't have to worry about, Kuya. Well, I'm also thinking of putting a new branch of my company here" he stood up and glanced on his watch.

"Do anything you want. I still have a meeting to attend, see you later" he kissed my forehead before living his office. I heard him sighed and that made me chuckled.

I fixed my hair and retouched my make up using my own cosmetic products. I'm wearing a floral dress paired with black chunky heels. My jewelry made me look more stunning with my Prada sunglasses. Some people said that I'm a walking dollar. Oh! dear! Can't blame them to think like that about me.

For almost 8 years of living in New York, I really learned a lot. In fact, I'm managing my own business right now with the help and support of my family. I'm also one of those highest-paid supermodels in abroad, kaya naging matunog ang pangalan ko international man o local. It is such a tiring journey of my life but it's worth it.

I walked straight to the elevator with a smile on my face, 'coz everybody is watching. They greeted me with respect and admiration and I also reply them back with a genuine smile. May nakikita pa akong kinukunan ako ng litrato kaya ngiti ako ng ngiti. Paglabas ko ng elevator ay pumasok agad ako sa Porsche Panamera ko.

Binuhay ko ang makina at tinungo ang isang Italian restaurant. Medyo na late pa ako sa oras na pinag-usapan namin. I parked my car and walked inside the restaurant. As usual, all eyes on me. Hindi ko nalang 'yun pinansin. Lumapit ako sa receptionist at ngumiti sa kanya, showing my white perfect teeth.

"Ms. Sanchez, let us assist you to your table" iginiya sa'kin ng waiter ang daan at hinatid ako sa table namin. Agad ko naman nakita ang mga kaibigan ko na may ngiti sa mukha, but those are fake smile 'coz I'm 15 mins late.

"Thank you" sabi ko sa waiter at naupo

"Hindi ba nangangawit 'yong labi mo kakangiti?" I laughed at Vickie's reaction and fixed my hair

"I'm used to it" kinuha ko ang menu at pumili ng order. Lumapit naman sa amin ang waiter at sinalinan ang baso namin ng wine

"Can I get your order, Ma'am?" naunang umorder silang Vickie at Avi. Lumingon sa akin ang waiter at ngumiti

"Mushroom risotto and pistachio panna cotta for dessert. Thank you" I said

"Vladimir is having a party tomorrow night in Ivanov luxury hotel rooftop pool" Navi announced

Hearing his name made me smirked. Knowing that he will be the host of the party excites me so much. He always has this thrilling party that will blow a mind and I guess I need to prepare 'coz this would be a big shot na mag-pasikat.

"Bakit umuwi ka?" Prankang tanong sa akin ni Avi

"Wala lang" I shrugged my shoulder and smiled

"Babalik ka ba sa NY or your staying here for good?" Curious na tanong sa'kin ni Vickie

"Staying here for good?" hindi 'din ako sigurado kung magtatagal ba talaga ako dito, marami naman mga offer ang nakalahad sa akin ngayon, but still I'm not in the mood to accept all of those. Kasi nga gusto ko muna mag-relax.

Pagkatapos namin kumain ay dumiritso kami sa mall para maghanap ng susuotin bukas. Halos dumugin pa ako ng mga tao. Good thing ay tinulungan ako ng security ng mall para maiwasan ang mga tao. Hays! Kailan ba ako pwede mamasyal na walang iniiwasan na taong dudumog sa'kin?

"Ang hirap mong kasama, bes" reklamo ni Vickie at tinawanan ko nalang siya

"Masasanay 'din kayo. You guys will get to see my face more often and you see those people?" sabay turo ko sa mga tao na nasa labas ng boutique na pinasukan namin at inaabangan ang paglabas ko "they are my tails and wherever the head will go they will always follow" Avi glared at me

Kinawayan ko ang mga taong nag-aabang 'sakin sa labas. Halatang asar na asar na 'din itong si Avi.

Maraming mga taong nagtatakbuhan at dinudumog ako. Todo iwas naman ako at diritso lang papuntang parking lot

Nasa loob na ako ng elevator ng Ivanov Hotel. I'm wearing gold aurora satin dress paired with Mindy high heels with black. I just let my hair down and apply a simple makeup on my face.

Kinuha ko ang lip gloss na nasa loob ng pouch ko at nag-retouched. Ang ganda ko talaga! Napatawa nalang ako sa naisip ko.

Pagbukas ng elevator ay bumungad agad sa akin si Vladimir. His wearing a gray polo and a white short with a Gucci belt. He raised his brows and stared at me while puffing his cigarrete.

"You came! Who invited you?" he laughed in sarcasm and acting like his surprise

"A Friend of mine which happens to be your friend too" tinapik ko ang balikat niya at hinawakan ang mukha niya "I bet you're happy to see me" then I smiled genuinely and went straight to the venue

Kumuha ako ng champagne at nakipag halubilo sa mga kakilala ko. Maraming bumabati 'sakin dahil sa lumalago 'kong Negosyo at sa career ko. Nakipag-picture na 'din ako sa iba pang mga celebrity at mga tao na nandito. nang napagod na ang mga paa ko ay naupo ako sa sofa at kinuha ang phone ko para mag post ng litrato

"Kumusta ka na?" ngumiti ako sa kanya

"Good" sabi ko at umusog sa gilid

Umupo naman siya sa tabi ko at nilapag and inumin niya sa table

"Can I invite you to a dinner tomorrow?" I took a sip of my champagne and stared at him with a smile on my face

"Sure" Nakangiti 'kong sabi sa kanya at sinuklian niya 'din ako ng ngiti

"Alright! see you tomorrow" He kissed my forehead and leave

Wala ka paring kupas, yael.

 "Lucas! you're here!" napalingon ako sa pinanggalingan ng boses

"Kanina pa" He looked at me with a blanked face

Inirapan ko siya at naglakad papuntang entrance nang makita ko silang Vickie

"Wow! Excited much? ang aga mo naman" Biro sa akin ni Vickie

Nginisihan ako ni Navi at kinurot ako sa tagiliran

"Uy..." sumimangot ako at naunang naglakad
