"[Name], what the hell are you doing?" Riku asked eyes narrowing at the sight of you. His foot left the last step and he walked into the living room where you were laying on the floor, head underneath the Christmas tree.
"Admiring."
Riku eyed the empty tree. "Admiring what exactly?"
"Go away, you're ruining it."
"Ruining what?" He scoffed.
Your eyes flickered up to Riku and you tried to keep a straight face. "My happiness."
A slight throaty chuckle escaped him and he nudged you with his foot. "Get up, loser."
The front door opened and closed and a very familiar voice was heard. "What is she doing?"
"The fuck if I know."
"Roxy!" You exclaimed sitting up, seeing the boy taking off his outerwear and picking a few bags off the floor.
"Oh, but you're happy to see him." Riku crossed his arms as you reached out for help up.
Roxas lifted the bags up as if to say "this is why".
You scoffed and pushed yourself up and started towards the kitchen after Roxas. "He has food."
"It's for later." Roxas slapped your hand away from the cookies he had just sat on the counter. You frowned and dropped yourself onto one of the stools lining the island and rested your head against your palm.
"You didn't get drinks." Riku noticed as he helped un-bag everything.
"Axel's coming over early and he said he'd bring the drinks." Roxas said as he stuffed some things in the fridge.
"Axel? You trust Axel with drinks?"
Roxas stopped what he was doing and looked at you and Riku. "Maybe I should ask someone to bring drinks for the non-drunks."
"That'd be a smart "Anyway," you said pushing away from the island. "I'm gonna go shower before Namine and Olette get here."
"Are they coming early?" Riku asked and you nodded. "Why?"
"Are you gonna help me decorate?" The look on Riku's face was an obvious no. "That's what I thought."
You jumped off the stool and quickly made your way up the stairs and into the bathroom. You let the water run for a minute to heat while you grabbed a towel and stripped out of your clothes.
After about 10 minutes you got out and wrapped a towel around your hair and one around your body before making your way out of the bathroom and down the hall to your bedroom.
You dug through your closet and grabbed some sweats to wear while you decorated for the christmas party you and your roommates were throwing. The doorbell rang, then after a few moments it rang again, and again.
"Do you guys not hear that?!" You called out as you left your room and made for the stairs. The bell rang again as you reached the bottom of the stairs, in the living room you could see the two boys playing xbox, ignoring the door. "Useless."
You opened the door and apologized to Namine and Olette for the boys rudeness and led them into the kitchen.
"You ready to decorate?" Namine asked with a smile.
"Yes! I wanna get this over with so I can get ready and then stuff my face." You replied eyeing some of the snacks Roxas had left out on the counter.
"Alright, well let's get started!" Olette said heading for the hall closet where you guys had stored the decorations days before.
The three of you spent two hours decorating the downstairs. You hung stockings from the fireplace and ornaments on the tree, the stair railing was lined with tinsel and a wreath on the door. Olette also hung tinsel and other christmasy things from the ceiling.
