"Look Cap'n we got a visitor!"
Elizabeth opened her eyes, she looked beside her to see a tall.... No.. Very tall man hugging her. She noticed a tag on the back of his straitjacket, must be for labeling patients with varying mental illnesses. Since they were assessed on what spectrum of their mental illnesses they were measured on. The silver haired then watched the man pull back and her eyes widened at what she saw. She didn't gasp or say a word...
The tall man had what seemed to be a scar that was from mix of second degree and third-degree burn that stretched from his neck to left cheek. His left eye was shaded a faint crimson red and the iris had become pink. The man smiled at the woman and chuckled while blinking a few times. She felt a mix of emotions at the sight of the patient, some people would feel disgusted, some would try and look away, some would stare. Right now she was curious and was most likely choosing the third option. Stare.
"So what's your name darling~?" The tall man asked in a sing song voice, oblivious to the fact that the silver haired woman was staring directly at his left eye. It wasn't like he could notice anyway. Elizabeth flinched and hesitated for a few moments, she cleared her throat. She should just address like she would to anyone else.
"Elizabeth. You can address me by nickname of some sorts if that is easier." She stated, she wanted them to feel comfortable around and not feel pressured into thinking that she was one of higher authority just because she was 'mentally normal'. She wanted to treat as friends in some regard. "So what's your name sir?"
"Peachy~ Right Elaine?" The man asked stated while looking to the side, Elizabeth soon just assumed it was the brunette woman that had approached the two.
"Oh so your name is Elaine yes?" The silver haired questioned, while tilting her head only to be quite shocked when the other woman shook her head.
"No. My name is Diane." The brunette, named Diane answered. Elizabeth raised an eyebrow in confusion, if the brunette wasn't Elaine and there were only 4 males and 1 female... Then what was he talking about? Maybe it was a close relative to him... The silver started to get lost in her thoughts while Diane tapped the taller on the back and whispered into his ear that inaudible to the silver head. The man flinched and nodded while chuckling to himself before looking back at his new counselor. The smile on his face never faltered.
"Ooooh. My name is Ban I was just talking to Elaine that's why! I forgot about that." Ban said while humming to himself. The silver haired waved it off and sighed to herself, she turned to the find the remaining 3 males in the room. She noticed a pink haired... male? It was most likely a male with feminine features. She yelped when the taller man pushed her to the pink haired male and then started to explain.
"This is Gowther. He's kinda awkward and is geek with books!" He explained.
Gowther adjusted his glasses and placed the book he was reading down. The book was The Color Purple. The book had crease marks as if it were wrinkles on an old person's face. The book sure did appear to be old. Pages were no longer white instead they were tainted with dusted yellow. He brushed a strand of hair that was in front of Elizabeth's face before waving slowly.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Elizabeth." The pink haired greeted and bowed his head. After a few moments of awkward silence he picked up the book and immediately started reading again. "So you'll be counselling all of us in the coming weeks correct?" He then asked, eyes shifting left to right as he skimmed through the pages of the worn out book.
"That is correct Gowther-" Elizabeth didn't even have the time to answer before she dragged away by Ban to meet her next patient. The silver haired was about to warn the taller man to at least slow down so she could finish her sentence but paused. She was placed in front a blonde.
Elizabeth couldn't help but feel a jolt of shivers run down her spine.
The male who had the physical features of a young teenager was sitting down on the floor. He stared.... No stared would be an understatement. He glared at her. His emerald green eyes burned like fire. A fire of hatred. His blond hair partially covered his face and remained silent. He turned to Ban while raising a slight eyebrow.
"Who is this then?" The blonde asked in a blunt tone.
"Elizabeth~! Peachy name right? Elizabeth this is Meliodas but we call 'im Cap'n." Ban explained while patting the woman's back in order to comfort her. The tall man then headed towards one of the bean bags which was a few feet away from Meliodas and sat down on the floor with a smirk on his face. The woman nodded and sighed, the blonde mumbled a profanity in a blunt tone, he refused to acknowledge the silver haired woman. She had a feeling that the blonde was going to be a difficult one to get through. His attitude and lack of greeting explained it all. She sighed to herself while looking at her notebook, she got out a pen and started writing all of her patients names in the name column.
Ban
Diane
Gowther
Meliodas
and.....
Someone is missing. It was a male. Elizabeth turned to see Vivian only to find that the woman had gone. Darn it. She just left her!
"Um Ban.... Quick question." The taller man turned to the direction of the woman once he heard his name called. "Who's the final patient.... He doesn't seem to be here." At that moment, Meliodas rose from the ground and tilted his head. A large pop and cracked echoed through the room. It was still silent. The blonde went over to a group of bean bags, The silver haired woman wanted to object however she was stopped by Ban who only squealed and chuckled in excitement. Was something happening?
Meliodas sighed as he kicked the bean bag, he watched as a figure shuffled below crawl out. A short ginger grumbled, he rubbed his head in pain and looked at the blonde.
"The hell did you do that for?" He blurted out while he rubbed his eyes. Elizabeth took one look at him and stayed silent. His hazelnut ginger hair was matted and pointed in many different directions. Dark bags rested under his eyes. Old and new scars covered his face. He was definitely in a bad condition but Elizabeth knew that they all were and she was going to fix that.
"Wakey wakey sleepyhead. Last person is King. He always tries to find a random place to rest just tap him and he'll wake up." Ban advised, he embraced King in a hug before he gave the shorter man a noogie. Both Diane and Gowther walked to where the others were and sat down on the beanbags Meliodas had kicked away.
The room filled with silence once more.
Elizabeth stared at her notebook. She gulped and stared in front of her. These were her patients.... Everything starts now.
"So.... Who wants to go first?"
