The Key to the Strip

Alexis's POV

Right now, as everyone is discussing what to do, I was sitting on Tony's car with Lightning on my shoulder.

"There's got to be some way to stop Shashi," Tony said.

"He's commanding a whole army!" Layla stated.

"Then we have to shut down Skeleton key," Tony then said. "Frostee, Alexis, can you hack it?"

"I don't think so," I said.

"I could maybe Trojan-horse a virus to shut it down for ten seconds or something," Frostee stated as he sat on the truck.

"That's all we need," Tony then said.

"Seriously?" Layla asked.

"It might be. I just need to get close enough to knock that helmet off his head," Tony told us.

"We would need a really powerful transmitter to project the malware," I then stated.

"You're going to Vegas. Why don't you use Big Ben?" Layla then asked.

"That might work. It does have that big antenna on top. But we need a massive power source," Frostee said.

"I was joking," Layla said.

"Entonces no lo digas en voz alta, (Then don't say it out loud.)" I said.

"How about the top-secret government battery I have in my car," Echo stated.

"Yeah!" Frostee then said.

"You see? We got something going here!" Tony told Layla.

"Look, even if this could work, you don't have enough time. By now, Jun is jacked into the main grid, and it's just a matter of time before Shashi takes over all the world's computers, or whatever he's doing," Layla stated.

"You were in his crew. Don't you know what his plan was?" Tony then asked her.

"I like racing cars and stealing stuff. Politics was his thing," Layla said.

"He'll probably eliminate the global banking structure, take control of all nuclear weapons, pretty much destroy modern civilization as we know it," Frostee stated.

"Then we better get moving," Tony said.

"But how are we gonna get close to Shashi if Skeleton Key can control all our vehicles?" Cisco then asked.

"It can only control ones with a chip. We'll go in old school," I stated.

While Tony, Frostee, and Cisco were taking the chips out of their vehicles and Echo and Layla were looking for radios since we won't be using our watches to communicate, I turned on my watch and programmed Lightning to only obey my orders and no one else's.

I then hear a vehicle approaching, so I looked up and saw Echo driving a car towards us.

"Check out this beast! I don't even have to rip anything out," She said.

"No mamez, (No way.)" I said in amazement.

I then hear a motorcycle approaching. I look to see Layla riding on a motorcycle and circles around Tony, which creates dust.

"You love that, don't you?" Tony asked her as she took off her helmet.

"Just one to remember me by," Layla told him with a wink.

"What do you mean?" Tony then asked.

"I told you I would stick around long enough to get Alexis back. Well, she's back," Layla answered.
