Warnings: A bit angsty, the reader can turn into a cat, which is a little weird. Because, like... I don't know. Purring? Ear scratches? Grooming? You'll see. Also, cat puns.

Bad cat pun count: 14. Let's if you can find them all.

Magic was a funny thing. One could become so many things and do so much. You could even change species, which was what happened to me when I was a baby. Well, kitten.

My father, the Cheshire Cat, and another Wonderland feline had a small litter with myself and three more kittens. We were a happy family for a while until an enemy of my father's attacked, killing my mother and casting magical spells every which way. One hit my siblings and I.  Suddenly, we were confused human children.

He did his best to raise us as people, but it was hard. We taught ourselves to walk and use opposing thumbs, but he was able to help us when we shifted into feline form, a trick we'd picked up not long after the battle.

As we grew, so did our opportunities. We ran wild in Wonderland until the day I decided that it was time for me to explore the world. I left Wonderland in favor of the magical realm of Neverland. The rumors I'd heard were extensive and I wanted to see if they were true or not.

I transformed into my cat form and stowed away on the ship of Captain Killian Jones. The pirates allowed me to stay because they believed I was just an animal and I caught mice that tried to take their provisions. It was nice, actually. Killian developed a lot of affections for me and ended up catching me to try to domesticate me. His baby-talk when he said things like, 'Who is the fluffiest little kitty cat in the seven seas? You are, Captain Cutie! Yes, you are! Yes, you are!' and 'You have the softest ears, Cutie! I love you so much. That's right, I do!'

Yes, you read that right. Captain Cutie. A dreadful name, I know. But it wasn't like I could shift into my human form and let him know it was actually Y/N, so I had to let him call me that. Unless the crew was around, of course, and then he pretended my name was Plunderer, which was almost as bad as Captain Cutie, but I put up with it because he gave really good ear scratches.

That was all before I reached Neverland and ran away when we docked (probably leaving Killian heartbroken, poor guy), of course. Then, I met Peter Pan and his lost boys, who took an immediate liking to me, nicknaming me 'Kitty' because of my abilities.

Peter Pan spent a lot of time training me in magic. He found my Wonderland magic fascinating (he didn't think my cat form was weird at all. In fact, he gave the best belly rubs) and we soon learned that I could teleport in puffs of purple smoke, which would have been great to know before I spent months on a boat as a cat.

Another person I spent a lot of time with was Felix. He showed me around the island all the time and he liked to hunt with me.

The three of us often hung out in a group, which was always fun. We had a running competition game going where we would all try to one-up each other in everything.

"Kitty, watch this!" Peter called.

Case in point.

Peter and Felix were on opposite sides of a log, hands clasped and looking determined. I raised a brow. "What are you doing?"

"Arm wrestling!" Felix answered. "And I'm going to win."

"Ha! You wish," Peter shot back.

"I'm stronger, Pan, just admit it!"

"No, I am! I-"

"Just get started already!" I playfully hissed at them. "Then you'll know for sure who is stronger."
