As children we see through colored glass
We see the world in the most vibrant of masks
But as we grow into young adults the glass seems to fade
Then we are left with shades of grey
No longer is there honesty
But more lies then fish in the sea
Then when we finally reach maturity and what is left but black and white
We no longer care for the colors to be bright
But for are choices to be wrong or right
Soon after that we reach the close of this life
Some say there is a light
Maybe it is not colored or grey or black and white
But what remains when all these have fled into the night
When we do not have colorful innocence
Grey areas where ever we look
Or the bluntness of black and white
But are simply left with wisdom clearing are sight
