The warehouse was big and grey. Moss and vines had grown upside the building and slithered through the cracks. Liam was surprised it was still standing here in all its glory.

They had surrounded it. Moving swiftly and silently to their posts. They all moved with precise and quick movements as not to make any noise. The tall and slender woman who stood outside, clearly acting as a guard, was a werewolf. Her scent familiar. Theos scent was mixed in with hers.

Scott appeared. He walked with a certain confidence. His head held high but his face gave a kind greeting. He didn't want blood shed or a fight; he wanted to ask clear questions and he wanted his answers the same. He wanted Theo.

Liam felt anxiety and anger and fear settle in his stomach. He felt heavy. He couldn't stand the anticipation.

The women shifted smoothly. Her human face molding into her wolf one. Her dark eyes turning to yellow and her square teeth turning sharp. She crouched, her teeth bared and nails like razor blades. A predator. And right now she was looking into the eyes of her prey; Scott.

He put his hands up in a surrender motion.

"Please. I'm not here to hurt you. I just want what you've taken." He spoke calmly. His pulse remained steady.

She scoffed. "You thought that asking nicely would get you what you want? You must be the most idiotic alpha I've seen."

"So you've heard of me?"

"Don't be so modest, Scott." She came out of her crouch but didn't shift back. "Who hasn't heard of the true alpha and his diverse pack?"

"Like I said. You've got something I want. Someone." He took a step closer.

"So what? The only way you're getting the chimera back is if you give me something on return." She smiled. But with her fangs still drawn, the smile was laced with mischief.

"Okay, lets talk."

"Oh, of course. As soon as you tell your pack to step down. You think I don't know they're there?"

"They're here in case things went south." Scott told her but turned to look into the woods. A silent command in his eyes.

Derek looked to Liam and nodded once. He let his guard down slightly but still remained tense none the less.

"God, you are such a people pleaser aren't you?" She laughed to herself. "I wasn't going to hurt the chimera or you anyway." She made a dismissive motion with her left hand.

"I had to be careful." Scott said softly. The care he had for his packs wellbeing was evident in his voice.

The women shifted back, her features becoming softer and kinder. She sighed.

"I need your help." She pleaded. "We need your help."

Scott's face morphed into one of confusion. A fight is what he had expected not a plea for help
