When people argue with me about my favorite sport- :3Soccer<3

Now yes, I get we all have our own opinions and we like to share them (especially me, my one old friend would like hate me when I'd express my opinions' too much). But when people express there opinion about there hatred toward my favorite sport or saying it's the easiest sport ever, I get offended/offensive.

My favorite sport is Soccer, I started in 3rd grade after I got interested because my brother had been playing for a while.

I've been playing ever since and it's not easy at all, there's so much thinking and strategy to it, not just running with a ball at your feet. Yes that's a part if it but that's not all to it. You have to run through people, track the ball, pass the ball to people on your team, steal the ball from the other team, get past aggressive defense to score, kick the ball towards the corners of the goal so the goalie has a hard time to get the ball. Ya'know unless your Tim Howard in FIFA and your like boss goalie. But Soccer Is soooo complex and takes so much work.

And there is so much more the sport than what I have mentioned or am about to mention!

Injuries-A lot of people who don't play or like soccer say not only is it easy but it's the sport your least likely to get injured in. INCORRECT, But,
I'm going to name some injuries~

-Abby Wambach= Head to head collision with another player, scratched head and her head it gushing blood (sorry, if this is gruesome). Medical team comes out and gives her a couple staples on the injury (forehead) and she plays for the rest of the game.

-My Brother= (1) My brother is the #1 goalie for his outdoor team- a Player came up to shoot on him and gained contact from his forearm right into my brothers head, my brother ends up with a mild concussion and is out if school for a couple days and out if soccer for a couple weeks

(2) My brother just recently got this injury but at one of his indoor games he was shoved into the boards, banged his head off the boards the his head bounced off the concrete turf floor, he thinks he was unconscious for a few seconds because he didn't remember what happens In between the hit and standing up to keep playing. He played the rest of the game then we took a trip to hospital because he was dizzy, nauseous, and could barely walk straight. We were in the hospital till 3AM (we left at 11 or 12 from his soccer game) he had another mild concussion and was out for about the same amount if tone as the last one.

(3) this happens like 3-4 years ago at a tournament that my soccer association goes to every year. My brother was once again in goal, he went to save the ball and did a great vertical Jump into the air and let the ball his his fingers and fall back off the field saving the ball from going into the goal. He double over grabbing his hand in extreme pain, the referee asked him if he was okay and he said yes, everything he caught the ball the would double over grabbing his hand in pain. Every time this happened the ref would ask if he was okay. Finally at the end of the game as the final whistle blew and my parents told my brother to take his goalie gloves off, he said it was hard to take the one with the injured hand off but he got off and his pinky was the 2 times the normal size, we went to one if the medical trainers at the tournament and he said we should go up to a hospital or an urgent care because he broke his finger. By my brothers story, he hurt his finger the first half, meaning he played his while 70 minute soccer game with a broken pinky.

And just (more) recently he has faced almost another concussion to which my dad said- "If this is a concussion, I am not allowing you to play soccer anymore" and then my brother tried to disagree and change my dads mind but my dad didn't budge and told me brother "you have had 2 or 3 concussions already! You're loosing a lot of brain cells with each concussion and any more, you can die" or something along those lines.
My brother left that hospital with no concussion and is still playing soccer now, and has not encountered another concussion since. (7/20/15)

-Me-Honestly I've lost count of how many times I have sprained my ankles but I have injured both ankles many times because of soccer and both my knees with over use. All my injuries are lower body, even though I have sprained my wrists 3-4 times. But the hardest thing in indoor soccer is preventing your self from injuries from the hard boards and concrete covered with 'turf'. Recently I had been to the doctors and hospital to get x-rays on my foot because for many months I had on and off pain in my foot and as the month went by the pain would get worse and that month it had begun to hurt super bad, at school I would keep it elevated and it would still hurt, I would keep as much  pressure off of if as I could I between my classes but it still hurt and it hurt a whole lot to walk on, so my mom scheduled my doctor said he wanted me to go to the hospital to get an x-ray because it was likely I had a fracture but the x-Ray came out negative and he had Said if it still hurts in couple weeks or months to come back and get an MRI just in case I tore a ligament. Another recent injury I have experienced was at one if my games a couple weeks ago I had been pushed over and landed on my ankle, if I had fallen with anymore pressure I was at risk if breaking my ankle but I just mildy sprained it. It hurt to walk and run but I had to play through it, when I was dropped off at my house by my soccer coach I limped in and say down on the seat in my foyer and sat there in complete and utter pain. I couldn't walk for a day or 2 because all the muscles in my right ankle and up just past my shin had righted and 'clenched' together making it very very hard for me to walk. I was very scared that I had torn a muscle or ligament in my foot or ankle or even a slight fracture. Worrying more I couldn't get my gear off without immense pain and as soon as I got I off I had automatically checked my Achilles making sure it didn't tear it or rupture it. I didn't thankfully. But my ankle was majorly swollen and it hurt like crap (Yes. There are wayyyyyyyyyyy more injuries that have occurred in soccer I just don't know all of them...obviously :P ) Injuries are very very common in Soccer. A lot if people who don't find much interest in soccer also say that it's a low contact sport when the contact in soccer is equal to the contact in football and possibly has just a little more contact than football.

And the only protection us soccer players have in a game is shin guards. Nothing else, young goalies okay with a padded helmet and if you are dealing with a minor injury, you have protection from that, but it is not an easy sport and you need to stop judging a book by its cover.

Seeeeee people need to know the facts before they judge or use opinions without evidence when they are going against things.

This rant right here is one of my biggest pet peeves even though I get that everyone has there own opinion. I argue about other peoples favorite sports so I'm pretty much a hypocrite but ya'know. It is what it is
