“Nii-san, please! There has to be a reason-”

“Then what is it, Eiji? What ‘reason’ could anyone possibly have for this?!” He finally turned around, showing his younger brother the bloodied body of the love of his life.

“Nii-san, humans have fragile bodies. You know this. It was an accident.”

“All that occurs in the human realm is in accordance to His will! Accident or not, He let this happen! I won’t accept this. No, I can’t accept this!”

“Nii-san, their time was already set even before they were born… And to begin with, they’re mortal… Sooner or later, they were going to…”

“You don’t get it, Eiji.” He felt the tears spilling too much too quickly. “They fought so hard… They fought so hard to stay alive. They fought through all kinds of physical and mental setbacks, and after years of pain, they... Today, they were supposed to be free. Free from the shackles that life gave them since birth. They were supposed to be happy… But not even two seconds after they walked out, they… they…”

“Nii-san…”

“I can’t do this anymore... I can’t just turn a blind eye when someone I love gets hurt! I already regret doing that with a lot of our friends. I won’t do the same for my angel! This so-called ‘Paradise’ has to change. And if Father won’t do it, I will.”

~~~~~
“Hey, Lucifer.”
“Hm...?” The brunette rubbed his eyes before groaning. His neck hurt. Sleeping on the throne is definitely one of his worst choices yet. After stretching, he turned his attention back to the green haired man. “Oh… Is it that time already?” His nod made him sigh. “Right then. Is everyone ready?”
“Almost. Just waiting for that no-good, wine-loving, party demon.”
The flapping of wings could be heard and soon, another brunette landed before them. “Aww, Yama-chan, you make it sound like I didn’t do anything to help~” He gave them both large grins. “I just went and offered the troops some advice.”
“For the battle?”
“For a lady~”
“You…” He sighed. Really, he couldn’t say anything to him. That’s just how he was. But he knew how reliable he is, and that’s crucial. Especially in a place like Hell. Turning back to the other brunette, he nodded. “Alright, leader. Everyone’s now accounted for.”
He got a chuckle in reply. The brunette spread his wings before slowly beginning to float. “Thank you, Azazel. Belial, too. The both of you are my closest and strongest allies. I’ll entrust our forces to you.”
“You can count on us, Eii-chan!” Belial waited until their leader was out of sight before he let his smile drop. “Azazel… You’re fully aware of what he’s planning to do, aren’t you?”
“Of course I am.” The green haired man had a similar expression. “But once he's made up his mind, we can't stop him. No one can.”
~~~~~

Michael and Uriel stood at the front of their army, waiting patiently for their opponents to arrive. They could feel a small sense of security, knowing that their youngest friends were relatively safe inside the walls.

Slowly, a large cluster of black-tinted feathers came into view. They turned to each other and nodded. All they had to do was keep their leader from getting near the tower, where the gate to their Father stood.

Their leader came into view. He held a hand up, signalling for his army to stay on standby. He was smirking up at them. “Well, now… You did quite well rallying this many people. But are you sure it’s enough to stop us?”

“You are only a third of what Heaven was.” He replied. “And all we have to do is stop you.”

“Turning rebellious on your older brother, are you?”

“You were the one who rebelled! I’m doing everything you taught me to! To serve our Father!”

Purple eyes narrowed behind their lenses. “He’s not my Father anymore!”

An explosion came from behind them. The two archangels had their eyes wide in terror, finding the garden in flames.

“Belial…”

“Huh?” Michael turned to the black haired man, who was focused on the opposing group. A bead of cold sweat ran down his temple.

“Belial… isn’t with them…” Uriel pointed at where Lucifer stood. Next to him was Azazel, cracking his knuckles.

“Looks like they realized.” The green haired man smirked. “On your command, leader.”

The brunette’s expression mirrored his. “Attack!”

With a battle cry louder than all the others, Azazel led the charge.

“Half of the lancers, go check on Gabriel and Raphael and drive any of the Fallen away from the tower! Archers, provide cover for both sides of the wall! Everyone else, don’t let any more of them through the gates!” Letting out their own cries, the army of white-winged angels flew down to meet their foes.

“Michael…” The black haired man pointed at Azazel, who was punching his way through their forces. “Let me... take care of him… You should… focus on Satan...”

“Kira…” He wasn’t sure if that was the best call, but he couldn’t say no to such a serious look. “Alright. Be careful.”

“You too.”
