As the Story Unfolds

Phabion soon left to look for Abel some more. When mom got home I told her what was going on. "I'm sure he's fine darling. Just taking a breather." She reassured me.  It should have helped but it didn't. I went and took a bubble bath to calm down and relieve my stress later that night as the kids and mom were asleep. Soaking in the water I closed my eyes and breathed out. Three days later full of worry and concern Abel pops up. "Well hey stranger." I say trying to figure out if I was pissed at him for disappearing for three days or relieved that he was okay. I decided to figure out what happened before deciding. "Where'd you go?" I asked. "Look Haven, I need a place to stay. Will you please ask your mom? Like now? I need to find a place to stay. " he asked worry and a hint of fear in his voice. I was so shocked by his vulnerability that I stuttered. "Y-yeah." I opened the door the rest of the way and nodded my head as an invitation to follow me, which he did through the kitchen and to the living room. Him and my mom spoke and long story short his step mom kicked him out and he went to a friends for the weekend but they got into it and he had no where else to go and mom let him stay. Later on that night we were watching a movie and things seemed strange. My boyfriend just moved in with me. We're watching a movie at night. My parents are asleep and were in two different chairs when there is a perfectly comfy couch. And he barely spoke to me all night. "Abel?" "Yeah." He said eyes still fixed on the screen. "Are we okay?" I ask trying to keep the mass of emotions from coming out. "Well your moms letting me live here. I think it would be safer of we didn't date. You know it's a little early for the whole living together part." He said barely even giving me a glance. "Yeah. I guess." I said nonchalantly then turned over and went to sleep. And that's the end of that relationship.
