"That zombie... They don't look dangerous..."
I say to myself in a low voice. I knew if I didn't kill them then I would get it for sure.

Well, I guess I should tell my background so you'll understand me more

Well, I guess I should tell my background so you'll understand me more.
When I was younger, a group of humans attacked and burned my home and killed my family. I tried my best to hide, but it was no use. They found me. One, however, took pity, I guess you could say. But it wasn't for kindness. It was for his own benefit.

"Hey kid, I want to make a deal with you...",

He said in a cold yet happy tone.

"If you work with us, and kill other monsters to rid them from our world, we'll let you live. Deal?"

He held out his hand. Desperate to live, I agreed and shook his hand.

"Good choice kid. Now, what's your name?"

...

"Imaji..."
"Imaji is my name"

"Welcome to the crew. I'm John"

From then, as you would have guessed, I killed tons of monsters that wandered or lived near the village that I now am part of. To me, I'm just their lure for monsters so they can catch then kill them like trophies. To them, I'm probably their secret weapon to end all monsters from "their" world. I always did as they asked me to. If I ever so once disobeyed, I was beaten and treated like some sort of animal. Then, after they had their fun, they would get back to work as if nothing had happened. Some days I would pass out from the blood loss but I was used to it by now.

It's not like I had a choice either...

But I didn't care. And couldn't care at all. Besides, when I am strong enough, I will kill off that entire village. One. by. one. until every last person is dead. If they all treated me like nothing, then there will be nothing left of their bodies... Just... how to gain strength when you are beaten down is the hard part.

Well, at least for me it is. I just might need some help. And, I think, just maybe, saving one monster might be the thing I need to help me get out of this endless loop.
