POV KIM TAEHYUNGWith a loud thud, the heavy door that keeps Jimin and me locked in this room slams into the wall.
I sit up immediately, all sleep leaving my system.
I look to see the man that had captured us stand there, holding a torch as it was dark inside the building as well as outside.
"You're free to go home, boys." His words confused both Jimin and me, having our eyes meet again for the first time since our conversation about Jeongguk. Which was our last conversation as well.
"Come on now, unless you like the Yitsi's company more than your freedom?" the man questions, which had us get up immediately. Carefully we walk past the man, who just looks at us as we leave.
The way downstairs and out of the door felt like miles, time going so so slow. Jimin and I were both waiting for the man to change his mind and send his monster to catch us.
Once outside, we run. We run until we can't run any longer. Well... till I can't. Jimin could easily run further, not even panting, thanks to him being a werewolf. And I have to admit, my stamina ain't the best.
"Why did he let us go?" Jimin asks. I look at him briefly, bent forward, and hands placed on my knees to support myself.
"Who cares? He let us go," I say. I really couldn't care more. Okay, maybe a little. It was weird, but I'm just happy I can go home.
My parents must be crazy worried about me. Just thinking of having to calm them down makes me sigh. I just want to sleep. I want to go to bed and never get out.
What happened and all the information I got, has been tearing me apart. I'm exhausted. I'm sad. I'm angry.
I don't know what to think. I don't know what to say or do when I see Jeongguk again. I don't know if I should tell Namjoon. I don't know anything for now.
"Taehyung..." I don't look at him as I figure out where we're located.
"No..."
It's not that I didn't feel guilty. Obviously, they can't help what they are. And of course, they're still themselves. But how can I know for sure that they're who they've presented themselves to be? They lied about one of the most important aspects of themselves...
Not to forget that they are werewolves. I don't know exactly what that means, but if it's anything like the books and movies, it means they can shift into wolves. It means they're inhumanely strong and controlled by anger and rage.
I sigh loudly when I finally see light from the village I live, Wolfenden. What would my life be like right now if I never moved here? If we just went to some other big city instead of this mysterious small town.
I search my pockets for my keys when I'm at my house but of course, those are still at Namjoon's or maybe even lost during my kidnapping. So I ring the bell, hoping I wake only one of my parents.
I hear some noise, then see the light turning on before someone runs downstairs. The door opens rather quickly and I see my mother, looking at me with her typical worried mother-look.
"Taehyung," she lets out and quickly takes me into her arms. She hugs me closely and I can feel some wetness in my neck. She's crying. "Where were you? Your dad and I were worried sick!"
"I'm sorry, mamma... I should've told you. I stayed at a friend's house," I mumble and don't dare to look at her. She knows I'm lying, for sure. After all, I might be a bad liar, I'm the least successful with my mom.
