3rd Person POV
"Nahee! Are you okay? What's wrong?" Hyeongjun said with concern.
"I'm fine, the exhaustion just hit me suddenly. I'm okay now," She smiled, the smile not reaching her eyes.
Though Serim didn't know where to go, he just went as far away from the group of chaos as he could. The rest of the city was oddly quiet. The stores were empty, and not one bird in the air. Once the atmosphere was calm, the young boys couldn't help but ask Nahee questions, because of course they were curious about Hyeongjun's mysterious friend.
"So your name is Nahee? If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" Woobin asked. "I'm a '97 liner," She smiled. They all nodded, expecting the response.
"Why did you guys even come for me? You should've escaped while you had the time," Nahee asked.
"Of course we couldn't leave you behind, you're like Hyeongjun's mom after all. Hyeongjun was worrying and complaining the whole time before you got here—"
"Stop now~" Hyeongjun cut Allen off, embarrassed. The girl awed in adoration at the precious boy, feeling proud of the child she raised.
Several minutes later, Nahee remembered. She had ignored her Mom's calls. She picked up her phone and decided to check on her, since she failed to do so earlier. She clicked her mom's contact name, her heartbeat slightly increasing.
Mom
Calling...
She didn't pick up.
Though the girl has an uneasy feeling in her stomach, she decided to think about it later, because their main task is to find a safe place to stay. Why would she be worried anyways? Her mother is the wife of a CEO, she probably has some bodyguards looking after her. It's not like I really care for my mother anyways, she thought. She's already dead to her, Nahee doesn't even remember the last time they met. Over time, she developed so much resentment and bitterness towards her parents after being neglected for so many years that she decided to completely forget about them. After looking through her contacts, she decided to call her friend, Miyoung, who was another CEO's daughter. The two first met when their family was invited to a fancy dinner to discuss work. Though she showed her usual cold personality, after Miyoung consistently insisted on becoming friends, like the outgoing and persistent person she is, Nahee actually discovered that they had a lot in common. Her dad has close connections with the mayor of Seoul, so maybe she would be able to get some information on this disaster.
