Not So Happily Ever After

Zayn, I don't think this is a good idea." Liam said, both were in their room, both shirtless in sweatpants, "Oh please Liam, all the kids are at my parents." Zayn said.

About a week ago Liam's mom nearly dis- owned him, on account of Liam refusing to stay longer because Karen was dissing Zayn on every level.

"I know. Just we haven't in a while and I don't know if I could handle it." Liam said, "Please?" Zayn asked with puppy dog eyes, "Fine." Liam said

"So, one night no kids, what should we do?" Zayn asked, "I don't know." Liam said, putting pressure on his lower abdomen, "Ya 'kay?" Zayn asked, Liam shook his head 'no', "What's wrong?" Zayn asked franticly, "Last time I felt like this I was in the hospital for nearly half a year." Liam said, "I remember that, what do I need to do?" Zayn asked, "Just take me to the hospital." Liam said through gritted teeth.

"My husband needs help." Zayn shouted as soon as they were in the hospital, "What's his name dear?" A nurse asked, "Liam Payne- Malik." Zayn said, "Oh, okay, Liam can you walk?" She asked, trying to stay calm, "I'll try." Zayn put him down from carrying him bridal style, Liam fall, going into the fetal position, "Liam, Liam!" Zayn shouted.

"We need a doctor in here." A nurse yelled.

6 HOURS LATER

"Payne- Malik?" The doctor asked, by then Zayn's family, and Liam's family was all there, "Yes?" Zayn asked, "I'm sorry to tell you this, but as you all know Mr. Payne- Malik has only one working kidney. The other one is starting to fail." The doctor said, Zayn couldn't remember anything, "W-w-what?" Zayn asked, not louder than a whisper, Louis understood what was going on, one bad thing about being smart, he broke down crying into Zayn's side, Niall also understood, started crying into Zayn's other side.

All Harry knew is that his dad isn't healthy.

"C-ca-ca-can we s-s-see him?" Zayn asked, "'Course." The doctor said, and lead them to his room.

"Liam." Zayn said, "Hi Zayn." Liam said, "A-a-are y-y-you o-o-o-okay?" Zayn asked, nearly breaking down in tears, knowing Liam was in pain.

"I'll be fine." Liam said, tears starting to form in his eyes (WATCH VIDEO NOW), "I don't want you to go." Zayn said, tears now flowing down his cheeks, "I'm not leaving without a fight." Liam told Zayn.

"You aren't going to have a choice when you die." Zayn said, "The list for kidney transplants is extremely low right now Zee. Just gotta believe that I'll make it." Liam told Zayn, "I know, but its so hard to believe when your in a hospital bed, I know your in pain, and I also know that the nurse is late to give you pain killers." Zayn said, "Zee, I'm fine, "I promise that I'll never leave by choice. My name is already on a transplant list, I'm not even one hundred in, so there's like forty some people a head of me." Liam said, "Is there anything I can do?" Zayn asked, "My family is taking a compatibility test to see if I can revive a kidney from one of them, I don't really need a dead donor for a kidney, just someone with two kidneys." Liam said, smiling through the obvious pain, "Can I take the compatibility what cha ma call it test?" Zayn asked.

"If you'd like, if you have the same type of blood as me, we'll be able to do the switch, only if your okay with it." Liam told Zayn.

"Okay, I'm gunna go see if I can take the test. Or at lease find someone who will let me take it." Zayn said, "Okay." Liam said.

As soon as Zayn left Liam let the strong act run away from his face, "Ahh." Liam groaned at the pain, "I really hope that they find someone with the same blood type, I'm not ready to leave my family yet, especially right after Zayn and I adopted three kids." Liam mumbled, "Daddy." Harry said, crying running to Liam's bed, "Hello Haz." Liam said, "Dad." Louis and Niall said, as soon as they entered the room also.

Week later

"Are you sure you want to this?" Liam asked, Zayn nodded.

Both went into surgery, both survived.
