Before I start this I warn you there will be some swearing, I'm not a fan of swearing you see but it's used in the right context.
Spectator one:
"I won't ask you again, Did you know Ben McCriedy?" Detective Cross spat across to the fearful teenager across from him. She shook her head violently. "I was lying, I'm going to ask you again. Did you know Ben McCriedy?" He shouted more forcefully this time, banging his fist on the metal table making the floor vibrate.
"It's not good for a detective to lie, is it?" She smirked. He looked her in the eye, leaning closer to her.
"Answer the fucking question." He whispered putting a harsh emphasis on 'fucking'.
"Fine! I knew him ok." Detective Cross pulled back and chuckled shaking his head.
"Why did you lie." He asked.
"Because I don't want to get involved in all this." She moaned.
"Tough, you were with him that night, Saturday the Twenty Sixth of August, Seven O'clock. Hmm?" He Looked at her.
"Yes, I was." She replied, muttering.
"Explain to me, what happened?" He sat down calmy on his old plastic chair, and listened to her.
"I was out with my friends in the park, We were all doing the usual talking about guys, school, the tipical girls that slag you off. Then in the distance a shadowy figure walked into the field, he kept going into the bushes, Running off. As this figure came closer I recongnized the brown ruffely hair and sandy brown eyes, It was Ben. He never talked to us at school everyone bullied him and took the mic out of him, but I'd never known him enough to find flaws in him. So we waved to him and he smiled at us and started walking back, then we called him over. He slowly came over and we talked about stuff. Then we went down the path to the river when my mother rang me and told me to go home, So I gave Jennifer a hug, said bye to Alex and Sam, then I walked home. I never saw anybody push anyone into the river, I swear." She looked into his eyes, Detective Cross knew she wasn't lieing.
"Well you said you was on the path next to the river when you left them, Did you hear screams when you'd come out of the path?" He asked curiously.
"No." She said.
"Alex and Sam's last name?" He asked.
"Ingham and Fleeter," She paused. "Is J-Jennifer dead?" She stuttered.
"We don't know, they're are searching the river, doing everything they can." He said. "You may go now." The officers guided Anna Hiegher out the triple locked security door.
