As seen from above, greenness of forest trees blooms vibrantly like moss under sunlight, every leaf boasts of health. Spirogya spreads covetiously on brook rocks scattered along the path biting west of the Laoni forest as it is called.

Snaking down through a dirt road, by the left wing, translucent water shoots from tiny cracks on walls of huge stones turned hills. It creates spritz traveling down the black-brown rock along with the rest of the spring. Into flowing river curving a perfect arc around a calm meadow like shiny silk, they pour.

"Crick crick?!" Right. One cricket begs to differ for he's after all, alive and worthy of acknowledgement for his duty of blessing the fertile land with his appreciative melody.

In between mother nature's children of prowess lays a tent made from the finest ashen clothing. Inside, a silhouette of two can be seen. One immobile, the other, frantically hopping from one foot to the other. It seems they urgently need to... pee?

Chinny's twin — Snippy — whom only she can hear, pushes her to steal a bite from the sausage roll lying forlonly in the warmer but Chinny feels the need to drain her precious bladder first. Battling with the better decision, Rex's heated glare from the entrance forces a far-fetched choice out of her.

"Fine."

Grumbling lowly, she Joins their little gang, crowded not too far off from the camping tent with minds ready to hunt for the gold stone — their ultimate task. Resolve beats their brows into low frowns and their legs, oddly stronger than after arrival earlier in the day.

The grove — or was it forest ranger? — would be having the time of his life setting them out on a fools hunt.

"Took you long enough," Tolu snorts, perusing Chinny's pink jumper, up and down with barely concealed distaste.

"We don't have all day," Lola chirps, crossing the rope of her water bottle over her perfect ponytail, already marching to the SUV. "And I have a photoshoot in three days, I need to be out of here. Not to mention, away from you all."

When the new summer camp competition was announced, it would never be about the money but some brave experience, an addition to her portfolio of accomplishments. If it is still worth it, she isn't certain any longer with four of her frenemies winding up with her as finalists, yet again.

"What's eating her up anyway?" Victor murmurs, loud enough to Rex's hearing, who is stomping past him clutching a spool.

Rex halts, "Are you suicidal? If she catches wind of your grousing, you'd be in deep shit, dipshit."

"What did I do?" Wide-eyed, Victor turns with open hands to Chinny who smiles sheepishly and hurries past him, right on Rex's heels.

A slam of the SUV's back door pulls Lola's scowl upward.

The clunky ranger adjusts his khaki hat with a shit-eating grin, "I'm afraid you all will commence your quest on foot. Rules from the top."

He isn't afraid. In fact, he is elated to announce the start of their suffering with that acute pronunciation of quest. Knowing better than getting into a meaningless banter, Lola takes a detour around the vehicle, tailed by the rest of her unwanted attachments, four to be precise. Together, they set out in silence.
