History shows that the first foreign invasion of India was done by the kings of Hakhamani dynasty of Iran.  The army of the founder of this dynasty, Kurusha (about 558 530 BC) had reached close to India.  Kurus tried to invade India through the desert route of Zadosia, but he did not succeed.  Chief among the successors of Kurus was Daryavhu (522-480 BC) who got the first success in invading India.  The success of Daryavhu's expedition can be found in his Behistun, Pempolis and map Rustom records.  From the archival evidence, at the time of Daryavhu 1, there is more corroborative evidence of Parsiq dominance over India.  According to Herodotes, this region became the twentieth province of the Persian Empire after conquering the Indian territory.  Dhaiyavhu's son Khasyarth or Jakise (486–465 BC) retained the conquered Indian territory.  331 BC  Ahasuerus included Indians in its army in the war against the Greeks.  The Iranian authority over India ended when it was defeated.
