Melanie's POV

There was someone pounding loudly on the front door and they had their finger held firmly on the buzzer. I sat up in my bed and groaned, a slight hangover making me fuzzy headed. I glanced at my alarm, 5:30am. Who the hell was knocking at my door and causing this racket at this time of the fecking morning, I thought angrily to myself as I slipped out of the bed. I unhooked my pink silk house coat from the back of the door and slide it on, tying the belt in a bow. I slowly padded down the stairs, rubbing my bleary eyes. I opened the front door to find Scott, of all people standing on my porch.

"Finally!" he shouted.

"What do you want?" I asked him coldly, raking my hands through my hair and hugging my house coat tighter around me.

"I want to know why... Why in the name of God you didn't tell me that my best friend was being taken to hospital in an ambulance! Why didn't you tell me she collapsed ? And don't say you didn't know because you did. You were there and you saw her being taken off in the ambulance. For Christ sake Melanie she's my best friend! She could have died! She's in a freaking coma! But you don't care do you? You got what you wanted, you got a kiss off me! Big woop ! Want a medal ? And just so you know that kiss meant nothing absolutely nothing to me! "

He shouted, ranting on at me. The tears welled up in my eyes as he continued on. Finally I couldn't stick it anymore, so I slammed the door in his face, leaving him standing on the porch. I leant against the closed door and let the sobs escape my mouth as I slide down the door and onto the floor. I didn't tell you because it brought back the memories of the crash, the memories of that night, I half whispered half shouted as the tears began to pour down my cheeks and the breath got stuck in my throat.
